Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just wondering how hard or easy is it to get council/social housing in Ireland,

Thankfully iv been lucky enough to never be in the need of it so iv a very limited knowledge of it,

The only reason i ask is i constantly hear people giving out about how we give " free " houses to people who just don't try hard,( i know that boll*x's) & I know there not free but then recently i have a married Friend with 2 kids who is in need of housing & says he just can't get anywhere & can't afford rent as unfortunately he lost his job about 4 months before Covid hit and hasn't manged to get anywhere near what he was earning previously,

Just wondering what's it like out there currently for people trying to get social housing ,
