Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

John o Shea also through to last 32. Steve Lennon had match darts v noppert but lost 6-5

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

No idea how O'Connor lost 6 nil to wilkinson

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Jim Williams reaches his first tour final

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,294 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Fair play to Jim Williams on winning a pro tour event, I really didn't think he had it in him but he's obviously kicked on since joining the PDC. He's just outside the qualifying places for the World Matchplay now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 689 ✭✭✭US3

Keane Barry on course for the matchplay too. He's 12th in the pro tour oom.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Supposed to be a number of absences from the Pro Tour this weekend in Germany. Hopefully the Irish are going as it could be a good chance to gain some OOM points

  • Registered Users Posts: 689 ✭✭✭US3

More than 30 withdrawls. If Heta is going I think he could clean up

All the Irish lads went over and a few extra ones are attending:

    Michael Flynn vs Mathers

    John O'Shea vs Gawlas

    William O'Connor vs Toni Martinez

    Steve Lennon vs Daniel Klose

    Keane Barry vs Wattimena

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Price beats Razma in final. Razma now in matchplay qualifying spot after that run

O'Connor and Barry both made the final of their boards

  • Registered Users Posts: 689 ✭✭✭US3

Good run for Keane again today made it to last 16.

Durrant was 5-2 up and still lost, him and big John Henderson hadn't won a single game yet this year

  • Registered Users Posts: 689 ✭✭✭US3

Second title of the year for van Gerwen. He's back

  • Registered Users Posts: 689 ✭✭✭US3

Michael van Gerwen: "I lost £200,000 on my ranking because of Covid (testing positive at the World Championship). I probably lost £250,000 in Euro Tours. That's £450,000 off my ranking I couldn't do anything about. I will be top again soon. Don't worry."

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Durrant won his first game in 268 days

Edit: and goes on to beat Van Den Bergh next game. Is this April Fools? 😅

Dirk wins his second floor title. Good to see him get back into form

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Martin Lukeman into a world matchplay qualifying spot. He's been in serious form since the new year

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,294 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Keane Barry still just about in both the Matchplay and Grand Prix qualifying spots after the weekend.

There's a very busy schedule over the next month, it would be great to have an Irish qualifier in the Matchplay.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

The Irish players really need to be qualifying for these Euro tour events. Keane Barry is just about holding onto his Matchplay spot.

Danny Jansen, Ross Smith and Ricky Evans are just outside qualifying places but still in the austrian open

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,294 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Keane Barry has qualified for this weekends Euro Tour. It starts today and he has Krzysztof Kciuk in R1. Let's hope he has a good run.

Luke Woodhouse destroyed Mickey Mansell in the first game with a 110 avg. Mansell only got 2 darts at a double in the last 2 legs

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Barry knocked out by Kciuk, his head dropped mid game after missing a few doubles to break Kciuk.

  • Registered Users Posts: 689 ✭✭✭US3

Some darts from mvg there averaged 113 against Gurney

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,294 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Any news on what was wrong with Wade that he had to pull out of the tournament?

  • Registered Users Posts: 689 ✭✭✭US3

Haven't heard anything yet. He seem to have his hand on his chest a good bit in the Searle match.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,294 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

The qualifiers for ET8 and ET9 were held yesterday. Steve Lennon has qualified for both but Keane Barry, Willie O'COnnor and John O'Shea failed to qualify for either.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,435 ✭✭✭Scoundrel

John O Shea having a good run today into last 16.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Into his first final now. Plays Michael Smith

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Just noticed Boris Koltsov is back on the tour. Lost a lot of potential ranking money in past few months

  • Registered Users Posts: 689 ✭✭✭US3

Have to be honest I wasn't expecting anything out of John O shea in the pdc, fair play to him .

Probably be on youtube later but a Czech qualifier thought he checked out 85 but scored 70 😂

Prices fault this time to be fair no love lost there. Luke Humphries with a second euro tour win definitely a player on the up and he seems to have MVG's number.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,015 ✭✭✭✭GBX

Will Humphries replace Anderson in the PL ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Interwetten Grand Prix today, Keane Barry didn't qualify and has slipped out of the Matchplay qualifying spots. Good number of players below him in the OOM are in this event

  • Registered Users Posts: 689 ✭✭✭US3

Humphries wins another euro tour. Averaged over 100 in most if not all games. Think he will be worth a punt for the matchplay

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,629 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

He's playing well but doesn’t fill me with confidence on the bigger stages.

    TbL

  • Registered Users Posts: 689 ✭✭✭US3

Keane Barry into the last 8 and playing well. Pity he isn't on our world Cup team, I'm sure he will be next year. 48 in the OOM now.

Willie out first round, Lennon and I Shea out second round

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Only ~4K between Barry and Lewis/Evans in the last 2 matchplay OOM spots. Don't think Lewis has travelled to Germany for these events

Semi final for Barry there looking good for Blackpool if he can win a few tomorrow aswell.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Non tour card holder Scott Williams wins today's players championship

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,435 ✭✭✭Scoundrel

Luke Humphires wins his 4th of these last night a player to look out for in a big tournament now surely.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,294 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Yeah, especially considering these are stage events in front of big enough crowds. he has improved a lot this year. One to look out for in the Matchplay.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Dirk won today's event and probably will be a threat at Blackpool. A lot of the seeded players not in great form at the min

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,435 ✭✭✭Scoundrel

Great to see Brendan Dolan bag one before the Matchplay.

Keane Barry qualified for both the upcoming Euro Tour events which will help his chances of qualifying for the Grand Prix. Willie O'Connor qualified for the second one.

Willie needs a good run in something as currently he's not qualifying for the Worlds. Neither is Steve Lennon. John O'Shea is currently qualifying though!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,630 ✭✭✭✭Princess Consuela Bananahammock

He's got one in Budapest - courtesy of some upsets and some attroicious Aspinall throwing.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,294 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Yeah great run for O'Connor as he is now comfortable in the qualifying spots for the Worlds and is in the final qualifying spot for the European Championships but is likely to be pushed out of that one.
