Watched the day 3 highlights and not one shot from Lowry who had the lowest score of the day

Was he the best round yesterday? Could have a couple more birdies. Missed two from around 6ft but that par putt was excellent.

Will need a fantastic round to shoot a few under and hope that Berger stumbles. Have a feeling Berger will do enough to steadily close this out like Niemann.

At least we should see most of Lowry's play today and Rai not taking a week to finish a hole.

Out in the last group tonight, huge chance he's due a win in fairness will need to start fast.

best round today was a 5 under 65

    Shane’s best was a 67

if he gets to 9th in 3 under Berger MIGHT feel a pinch

That is about as much of a dream start as Lowry could have wished for. Only one back after four.

Berger has had some collapse so far, in the bunker from the tee now. Shane in the first cut, went over the bunker

Berger isn't gone yet, loads of golf to play but Lowry could never imagine being tied after 5.

    Wow what a bunker shot

Disappointing not to take the lead there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,000 ✭✭✭coillcam

Gonna be some shootout on the back nine. Lowry may just need that putter to heat up a touch.

All aspects of his game look to be in great order except for short to mid-range putting -he has holed several long ones but he has missed half a dozen from 5 to 9 ft. as well as 4 between 10 and 12.

Fix that and he could be a factor at the Masters.

Could never see Shane winning the Masters.

just not good enough with putter

    ...then again Sergio won it!

Two shot lead now, and playing beautifully.

Wouldn't exactly call Hidecki or Adam Scott world class putters either...

He is a great man to chase a chance when it open up.

    Second chip in from Berger.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,248 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

Berger can't keep hoping for them, but seriously pressure now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,000 ✭✭✭coillcam

Berger not giving up easy and Straka still there. I wonder will we see some splashdowns before this finishes.

Berger should buy a lottery ticket. He could easily have ended up in the water and walks off with a birdie

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,723 ✭✭✭boardise

Straka ( who ? ) ...slots from 226 inches to joint lead !! White knuckle finish and possible play-off looming.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,879 ✭✭✭Dr. Bre

    Come on get this finished

    Second favourite now
