Still waiting for where she said she wanted Rogan to be censored.

She clearly said what has to stop is misinformation 'so that the American people have access to accurate information on something as significant as Covid 19'.'

Do you have an issue with that ideal?

With the ideal, no, but in practice the censorship seems to be very political. Like Psaki saying the mRNA vaccines had the gold standard approval when they didn’t. No one went after her. Most people understood she was trying to sell the idea of the vaccines. Who fact checks the fact checkers? . It’s far too easy to say ‘misinformation’ to shut someone up and has been done repeatedly especially as of late.

She was asked specifically about the joe Rogan podcast and was she happy with Spotify applying a warning, she said no she urges more action.

So you don't think the government should want tech companies 'to continue to do more to call out misinformation and uplift accurate information'?

Because that's what she said the administration wants them to do.

Nothing about silencing Joe. There is no call for censorship to be even considered as to whether it is political or not.

I’m genuinely disappointed how weak she was there. That isn’t even proper critique, how you can consider that censorship is beyond me. If anything she was too weak and should have made a stronger statement, that stopped short of threatening censorship

Well, the FDA is the gold standard, in our view, and they move at the speed of science. They look at a range of data and they make sure that when they make conclusions and when they give full approval, they have confidence in the science and the data that backs that up. It wouldn’t be responsible to expedite that process at a faster speed than the science and data allows.

Certainly, everyone is eager — as the mother of two children under 12 myself, I would love to have vaccines approved so I can get my kids vaccinated. We understand that completely and understand the desire to have full approval, of course, as well.

Any reason why you chose to misrepresent what Psaki said at the time? You've claimed this multiple times and the above appears to be the quote where she said gold standard. Not seeing any misinformation.

Tucker or Facebook told him so.

And no facts will ever change their minds.

Bloody hell, now you're spreading vaccine misinformation, was it accidental or on purpose?

Why should anyone take anything you're saying seriously anymore? You've plumbed the depths here.

Another massive CPI print. Inflation month on month is even accelerating. Real wage growth YoY now -2%. Plain obvious that this is the number 1 issue for Biden’s poor approval rating.

Remember when only 1 year ago the MMT, big government ideas were all the rage. That didn’t last long.

What vaccine misinformation am I spreading? I think you are out of your depth here.

Check the press conference from one week before this. She used the ‘gold standard’ words here again.

”The risk and impact there is that this type of information magnifies, you know, the risk of potential side effects associated with Western vaccines. This is what they’re — what the information — some of this misinformation is doing — and misleads the public by falsely alleging that mRNA vaccines are untested and, thus, risky, even though many of them are approved and have gone through the gold standard of the FDA approval process. “”

No wonder no one posts around here anymore if this is what passes for arguments these days. Could you or any of the people that thanked the post explain it? I highly doubt it.

And I'm inclined to say the gold standard remark was more an error on her part than intentionally misleading. Particularly since she literally corrected herself the following week.

She never corrected herself and never said she mis spoke. Had she come out and said ‘what I said last week was wrong’ then I’d agree with you.

Anyway misinformation doesn’t have to be on purpose- disinformation does.

Regardless of if she explicitly said she was correcting herself, she did so. Not exactly comparable to 3 hour segments from the likes of Malone who had been heavily debunked by the time he put him on the podcast.

But what about Kyle Kulinski’s episode where he was criticising Saudi Arabia? The whole episode got pulled because of one word that was referenced from a rap lyric. This is all being done under the umbrella of ‘tackling misinformation’. Do you trust the US government to say what is misinformation? I don’t. They may get it right sometimes but this isn’t enough.

Uhh... Spotify pulls an episode to pander to the Saudi's (maybe.) And, it was a Rogan episode. And this is the fault of the US Government how? Spotify... private business... people leaving Spotify due to disgust with Rogan... All legal. Plus the episode had been up for 3 years.

Where do you get this stuff from? It's nonsense.

And the US government isn't responsible for Spotify or Rogan choosing to remove episodes.... You're painting it as if they are. They said Spotify and other platforms should take greater steps to combat disinformation/misinformation. Which is no different to what numerous governments have said about social media platforms. Some act and others don't.

    This is exactly it.

People are being told what to be angry about and they relay that online.

The problem arises when those assertions are challenged because they didn't form those views themselves and didn't stress test them for weaknesses.

This results in them scurrying away until that point is forgotten and then they pop back up with more regurgitated talking points

    What was the word?

I asked you the same question on another thread, and you didn't answer there. And I don't expect you will answer here either and I don't blame you. I know what the word is, you know what it is, you know why it was pulled. You're playing a game in suggesting that it was just a lyric from a rap song like that word probably isn't one of the single most controversial and inflammatory words there are. That is why the podcast was pulled and many others for the same reason.

What proof do you have that the Biden Administration was responsible for episodes being removed? Cause so far it seems to be more a conspiracy theory.

You don’t make much of a constructive argument there. Why not try to support your point?

Biden is really bleeding approval among those who got him into office in the first place.

As you can see in the photo I provided he has lost alot of approval among democrats, is there any democrat posters here who ar not happy with the job he is doing?

Update: it appears that Biden's latest demand is for the Fed to crash the economy. In a fact sheet, the White House said that “President Biden’s plan starts with respecting the Federal Reserve’s independence to keep elevated price increases from becoming entrenched" and adding that “the Federal Reserve provided extraordinary support during the crisis. Given the strength of our recovery, and the pace of recent price increases, it is appropriate for them to recalibrate that support.”

Biden is basically telling Powell to start a recession to undo the consequences of his idiotic fiscal policies that have sparked the biggest inflationary conflagration since Volcker.

If the Dems want to stay relevant they should entirely silence the’”progressive caucus” forever

    What are these policies please?

Also, you might be interested in this Twitter thread.

You'll see within the thread a reference to Biden wanting to target companies for price gouging.

How do you think that will play with free market capitalists? They'll blame him for doing something, and blame him if he doesn't do something. We know that, nothing new there.

Waffling on about Joe Rogan when the Supreme Court decided to overule a lower Federal Court decision that Georgia had illegally gerrymandered Congressional districts against black people. Who gives a toss about that shite?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,497 ✭✭✭✭astrofool

mRNA vaccines are fully approved by the FDA, explain your comments that seem to imply the contrary, please be specific.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 642 ✭✭✭J_1980

Running a $1tr deficit in a booming economy with interest rates 6% below the rate of inflation?

Don’t care who this twitter goon is. How come Argentina has price controls, government ownership of everything and even more inflation [hint: interest rates are also 10+% below inflation with constant primary deficits]?

of course she won’t be able to answer. And if she does, it’s probably the fault of some sanctions/CIA/ the bankers whatever…. Yawn….

By the way, when maggie and ronnie took office in 1978/1980 inflation literally disappeared overnight.

    Stacey Abrams does.

Which is why Georgians should elect her Governor later this year.
