Unexpected good day today, currently production greater than consumption for the day.

Yeah, I was expecting the worst today from the Met Eireann solar forecast (probably about 2-3Kwhr) but no. Granted it was up and down like a tinkers knickers, but yeah we'll take 5.0Kwhr for the day.

Aye - unexpectedly good day, my record day for this year - 6.3kwh. Sun angle is increased to the point now were my south ground panels are not shaded by the roof at the zenith of the day.

15.3 produced today but was such intermittent sun with many showers throughout. Hit the highest peaks of the year today though.

9.5 today. Any bit of sun and it’s flying.

    Friday - 9.7kWh

    Saturday - 1.8kWh

    Sunday - 8.1kWh

    Welcome to Donegal

Here in Dublin, Tuesday is looking like a real shitshow. Probably the lowest output of the month. But after that it is looking like happy days for a week at least.

Definitely an up and down couple of days, yesterday 19.7 after a 2.8kWh and today could go either way.

Ended up being away from the yard this morning.. and still charging to 100% at night. The batteries never dropped below 95% and never started charging!

Steady day today only 4.7 and with the above .. exported 2.2!

Could be a good 'un today...

An excellent afternoon after an awful lunchtime, still getting 1.75kw in at 16:45. Should end up with 13kwh for the day

10kwh best of the year so far, a day of firsts: battery full and even plugged in the car

Strange how happy I was to see my 4kwp string go over 1kwh since it got fully shaded in November.

    image.png

Fuming at the 0.2kwh exported too 😂

10kWh here in Fingal. A bit meh after lunch, but I'm not complaining.

19.1KWH in galway. Intermittent cloud and rain but good sun spells too. Tomorrow looks like being a great day too for production here. Reducing charging tonight to one hour and hoping to charge fully rest from sun tomorrow

Finally cracked double figures in 2022.

    10.3kWh today.

Also got my latest bill, a hefty €270. Haven't compared it to last year yet but pretty sure it's well up. We had a few long trips resulting in lots of additional car charging, plus the night rate is now 11c compared to 8c last year.

My SSE welcome credit covered €200 of it, and my €675 VW credit should be applied before the next bill.

12.6kwh for me in galway. Battery had been charging to 80% for last few weeks at night but this morning it was up to 100% by 10am. Wife was home so an extra wash done and hot water topped up with heat pump. Ended up still exporting 3kwh😩. Have reduced the battery settings tonight from 20amps to 15amps over same time (3hrs) so will be interested to see what that reduces the final charge percentage by morning.

That's one good thing about the Sofar ME3000 - you set the SOC% that you want the batteries charged to. So you can tell it to charge at 65Ah between midnight and 08:00 to 60%, and it will start charging until it reaches 60% and will then put the inverter into Standby until 08:00

Ended up at 18.7kWh for the day in South Roscommon and today looking good and hitting 1.5kW already.

Unfortunately car not at home this week so likely to be exporting more than we will be using even after dropping the charge on the battery down at night.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 192 ✭✭ELCAT2009

Arghh. Should have dropped amps by more or even turned it off last night battery charged to 65% last night, its now full, washing press empty, heat pump on to top up water and that will be maxed soon. Unfortunately the ev is away from home today. Nearly 6kwh generated so far...heading for best day yet🙂

Gone from roaring sunshine to dark and sleet in the space of 15 minutes.

Was on track for a record day. 🙄

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,602 ✭✭✭SD_DRACULA

Aye 🤬 clouds ruined what should have been a perfect graph.

    image.png

But already beat the 10kwh record from the other day, battery full, EV soaking in the excess

Great day here in Cork, 45.7kWh! Got 13.1kWh into the car, 3.8kWh into hot water, 14.1kWh into battery and then a couple washing/dryer cycles.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,666 ✭✭✭ECO_Mental

Best day I have had since I got my system up and running last October 2021 but unlike mp3guy all mine went back into lining the pockets of Mr/Ms ESB. Went looking at EV's yesterday...total for the day 28 kWh
