Very little, supports are poor in this country. It's not until a murder is committed that any report or investigation gets initiated.

No. Men are continually offended and should remain angry at the way women are being brain-washed by the feminists into thinking all men are bad. Feminism does not want equality, it is a hate movement that probably has done more harm to women than any sexism. I don't see women calling out feminists who say men should be castrated, put in concentration camps etc. etc.

It looks like history is starting up again.

Actually you are wrong, it was not my first post on this thread, and no, you did not respond to "opinions I provided".

You proceeded to tell me that I "no problem with collective stereotyping of men, or guilt applied by women..." - you went straight on the defensive, hackles up, ready to tear me down, where no where have I stated any such thing. Please quote the post where I did.

So if anyone was projecting here, its you, Klaz.

Good post. Backed up by the evidence too. Well done.

You should stop listening to extremists like that though, they are never going to gain traction.

    • In 2013 he was jailed for 2 years for severely beating his partner & throwing an electric heater at her.
    • In 2015 he punched a teacher in the face and smashed his teeth because he falsely believed the victim was racially abusing him
    • In 2021 while serving 3years he was charged for headbutting an officer who told him three times to stop smoking in the jail.

That's an example of the 78 convictions that he has racked up. This is insane.

I’ve seen the suggestion that men should do more but it’s never specified what exactly what it is they should be doing more of. The man who tried to stop an armed attacker with his car in Maida Vale didn’t get much sympathy.

"Men need to do more", "men need to listen to women", yet we're never told what the more is, and what we aren't listening to. It really says a lot about them, they want to bitch about problems, yet never offer any solutions at all, yet we're trying to be victims simply be saying blaming all men for the problems of few is ridiculous and dangerous.

“The man who lies to himself can be more easily offended than anyone else. You know it is sometimes very pleasant to take offense, isn't it? A man may know that nobody has insulted him, but that he has invented the insult for himself, has lied and exaggerated to make it picturesque, has caught at a word and made a mountain out of a molehill--he knows that himself, yet he will be the first to take offense, and will revel in his resentment till he feels great pleasure in it.”- ― Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Brothers Karamazov

Probably received citizenship despite the serious convictions

I think people who commit violent crimes should get longer sentences.

I think people who commit violent crimes that can be deported post sentence and barred from the country should be.

I think actual consequences for violent crimes would act as a deterrent.

I do not think anyone with 70 plus convictions should be able to be out on the streets so easily.

He's the tip of a large iceberg of a weak justice system. Remember single car crash in the Midlands leading to a noticeable drop in crime.

In 2015 also, he punched a 67-year-old pensioner off his bicycle, knocking him unconscious. The man suffered a broken eye socket as well as cuts & bruises.

The lad seems to have been diagnosed with schizophrenia so maybe that has contributed to his crimes. There needs to be some kind of system where you rack up a certain amount of convictions and you automatically get a few years inside. Or perhaps the guy needs to be committed due to the schizophrenia. Either way the justice system is too lenient.

It's often specified, people just don't like or reject the suggestions.

I really don't think what people mean by 'men should do more' is to wildly drive a vehicle in the direction of an attack and end up killing both people, and it really is about time people stopped bringing up that incident because it just makes them look ridiculous.

You could start by showing empathy to the victims and the plight women have in general in terms of their safety, if you're capable of it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,841 ✭✭✭TomTomTim

You're proving my point. How would showing empathy chance the rate of these attacks, or reduce the problem? You've just made a general statement that says nothing and fixes nothing. My empathy won't stop scum being scum.

No amount of man-to-man talk will stop the psychos. They can't be talked to. Telling men they must stop other men is just a way of extending the guilt trip to All men. It's just a stick to beat men with. I don't see women calling out other women for sexism or calling out the crazy feminists who are doing awful damage to everyone, including women.

It looks like history is starting up again.

This needs to be called out by women. Absolutely despicable thing to do to an elderly man.

    Communication was the greatest fatality

There would be no conviction if he was able to prove the crimes were due to his schizophrenia. not guilty by reason of insanity. He would be locked up in the central mental hospital with no convictions then

I'd like to see anyone intervene with this sort of individual.

Every single man, woman and child in this country is let down by our judiciary and our penal system.

People like this should be permanently out of circulation

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,536 ✭✭✭zv2

It is not as simple as that. "Domestic violence" has become almost synonymous with male violence but men suffer as much domestic violence as women. It is the imbalance in reporting that is doing the damage, it is making men look like monsters. If the press constantly focuses on one side of a story the result can be very damaging and distorted.

This lack of press leaves men out and if men 'call out' other men that is only going to make the imbalance worse because it will make men seem worse. RTE are reluctant to report too much on what men suffer in terms of domestic violence (and it is considerable) because they are probably afraid that reporting female violence will make it even harder for women. Such is the tangle we are in with all this.

This is why feminism is bad. It is anti man and once the imbalance started everything got crazy and it is not good for women, men, children or society in general.

A long time ago I knew this guy and his 16 year old daughter came home from school one day and said "Everyone in my class is anti man". This is feminism in action.

There were a few other incidents like that that made me look real hard at what is happening.

Been here since 2000 and has contributed nothing positive to our country in that period of time.

Deport him back to the corrupt third world country he crawled out of.

    Classic Venus stuff.

Why are you defending yourself with explanations and solutions, you're making it worse.

I just want an ear and a hug.

Our justice system harsher and our prisons less luxurious for scumbags, if minors then punish the parents and teenagers involved

No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change this World

If you can't even show empathy to women getting brutally attacked then there is no point in continuing the discussion. I think it says quite a bit about a person when they cant show empathy at something so terrible such as women being attacked. It's quite disgusting.

That’s pretty funny but I don’t care for the dishonesty. It’s all over the place and people are rejecting it but I can’t quote it.

"The worst is, this 13 year old male will face no significant consequences whatsoever,"

His parents or guardians should be jailed for that. And I am absolutely serious about it. Lack of parent's responibility brings lack of responsibility to their children. And Ireland turns into "gangsta paradise" as an affect.
