Wind is meant to turn Northwest tomorrow morning for a few hours before going West then Southwest. Might bring some showers to Sligo as Westerlies get blocked by mountains as do Northerlies but we rarely get those.

We had a good beefy snow shower here a while back, ( near Trim) then mix again of shraineetow! I’ll take it. I got snow, I’m happy for now!

Light snow in Dublin 5. Funnily enough we had snow this day last year too.

Edit: Turned moderate and the flakes are massive, the biggest I've ever seen! Was beginning to stick but lost intensity.

Exactly, that's why I questioned the poster about calling Winter already, we have only begun.

Some icey deposits on the cars, that seems to be the only result of last night's showers.

    All white here in Roscommon.

Is this more snow, or rain that's coming?

Yes it is. Mix of rain, sleet and snow. The snow mainly on hills and mountains. Some snow at lower levels too, especially at the northern end of the band of precipitation. I'd expect reports of a wintry mix but few reports of disruptive snow, below about 150m anyway.

Might be sleet/snow temporarily and certainly on high ground in parts of East this morning. Milder air is making it's way in to the western half of the country.
