Good shout. Pay day is next Thursday so that'll be when I'll grab it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,923 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

Did you email them? It seems a bit sh1tty to not have a downgrade option.

Covid could **** up yet another season ticket

  • Moderators, Home & Garden Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators, Regional West Moderators Posts: 16,722 Mod ✭✭✭✭yop

    I did indeed.

How it's possible to change to a club + but not to a standard....

It is not possible to change a Club+ Season Ticket to a standard Season Ticket for the 2022 season.

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,923 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

It most certainly will. But I think it will be a case, certainly for Dublin and Mayo anyway that we may be the only ones allowed into games given capacity restrictions.

That's absolute bull. Have they given you a reason why? Such nonsense.

A lot of people got caught out a few years ago renewing. The club + was default on the tab

  • Moderators, Home & Garden Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators, Regional West Moderators Posts: 16,722 Mod ✭✭✭✭yop

I'm really annoyed about it tbh. It's such an fu attitude again and no interest in helping. And ticketmaster now in on the act I wonder if that's why the price has gone up.

That's how I got nailed Mick.

500 euro bang on Christmas with no guarantee of games is a hard pill to swallow

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,347 ✭✭✭HBC08

I'm telling ye lads, the powers that be only want the money from season and club plus tickets, the don't want any of the admin or responsibility that entails.

They have achieved that this year.Again I can only speak from the perspective of my own county. In Mayo they will sell out as they do every year, yet the price has gone up and there are less benefits.

The club plus is the biggest p1ss take of the lot.Ive posted this over before so don't want keep banging on about it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,745 ✭✭✭✭BPKS

I'd usually spend more than €100 on club games ran by our county board when I add it up but its easier to take the small hit that another chunk onto the ST.

I didn't renew yet but might take out a new one for myself and change a DOB to get an u16 for one of the kids.

Although I do wonder with Tony in charge will there be any point if they keep the attendance capped at 5000 for the early months of next year.

For anyone leaving it to the last minute to renew.....

I logged in to renew my own tickets this eve. It states there that the deadling for renewals is Monday 3rd, NOT Wednesday 5th as stated in the email!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,347 ✭✭✭HBC08

Just to confirm as Mick said above this is the case.I renewed myself there and got the same message, let your fellow seasons ticket holders know.

  • Registered Users Posts: 415 ✭✭ureds

This is the message I get when I log into my account.

    Closing date Wednesday 5th January.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,347 ✭✭✭HBC08

Have had it confirmed by friends, screenshot on here and my own experience that although it says jan 5th in the email when you actually go in to it it's Jan 3rd.

Note, these were all examples of Mayo season tickets that are sold out for years with a long waiting list.I don't know if that point is relevant or not but I imagine you can buy a season ticket in almost any county at anytime of the year and won't be affected by Jan 3rd or 5th

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,923 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

Just about to renew mine now, so I'll check. glad I didn't wait anyway after seeing that!

It will essentially only affect Dublin and Mayo ST holders.

So they need to be wary.

    Eesh!

I thought this term was rather interesting:

    • 2. Opt Outs are managed by the Season Ticket holder and not by the GAA Ticket office. The number of Opt Outs used by a Season Ticket holder will not be displayed on their Season Ticket account.

I can see this causing absolute chaos later on. The GAA ST office is certainly pulling back on managing this now.

They have essentially washed their hands of administering the season ticket both Croke Park and Club+.They have completely abdicated responsibility. As I've mentioned numerous times on this thread the season ticket got too big and caused too many issues, they don't want anything to do with it and this year we see the proof of that.

In all fairness, you’re allowed one opt-out to be eligible for an AI ticket. If you lose count after one, things must be very bad.
