I'd caution against VPNs and switching regions on Xbox. You'll probably get away with it but they have handed out account bans and could change their monitoring overnight.

That's not true , Microsoft are well aware this goes on and choose to do nothing about it , the support guys even help when there's a problem buying from a foreign store .
