Back in august, wasn’t planning on changing until new year anyway so the wait wasn’t too big an issue.

Ordered a 60iv last week and June delivery - will probably hold off for the 222 plate if all goes to plan.

Do you mind me asking how much of a deposit you had to put down for a June delivery?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 162 ✭✭kevin101

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 862 ✭✭✭regedit

They sent me the SEAI paper work the following day after I paid deposit to sign so I presume they’ll claim the €5,000 grant asap.

My wife ordered one a few weeks back for June/July delivery. She had to pay €1000 deposit

We’ve been offered the demo car in Skoda Castlebar, the 60 version. What’s the thoughts on a fair price?

6 months old, so warranty effectively 2.5 years. Around 3000km

You’d have to tell us the specs but I’d imagine very close to the brand new asking price of a similar spec’d Enyaq wouldn’t be too far off the mark.

Ordered the sportline 60 there a few weeks back. 500 deposit, got a little carried away with the options. This will be the 2nd EV in the house, driving a 24 leaf for the last 5 years or so.

I was told delivery will likely be July or August but could even be September.

We had looked at the ID 4 but it felt very cheap on the inside for the price!

It’s has the Climate Pack  - Heated front seats and 3 zone climate control. The Convenience Pack – Full Kessy, Tinted Windows and Wireless charging and upgraded alloys

    That's a longtime!

    Placed our oder mid-November.

My dealer cannot give me any more information aside from 'order placed with Skoda but it hasn't been assigned a build date! Was hoping for May but, September is far out! Trading in our current Superb SportLine but notsure if the promised price will be retained by then...

I know the manager of the dealership, was told that he doesn't want to give me an unrealistic date and then I annoy the hell out of him when I don't get the car on time!

I'm yet to get a build date either, really need the extra range. The leaf is becoming a problem with battery degradation and winter time.

I am trying to figure out if I can fit a high back booster seat in the back of the Enyaq. As we are having a third child in June

Can someone who has one advise what is the distance between the two buckle or latches in the rear middle seat.

here is an example of what I mean:

we currently have a 2017 Hyundai Tucson and it’s 25.5cm from buckle to buckle on the rear seat which is too small.

Ya. It’s available Jan 20th as opposed to July and it’s coming in at €37.5k. As I’m buying through a company I wasn’t eligible for the €5k grant so it’s a no-brainer for us

That's a fantastic offer in fairness. No way you could turn that down.

I'm in a similar situation to yourself, I took the car for a test drive (with the agreement of the dealership) to a shop that sells car seats (Tony Kealys) and tried different combinations of child seats.

We managed to successfully get a high back booster (at a window seat), a rear facing seat for a 3 year old (in the middle seat) and a newborn seat (at other window) pretty easily.

If in doubt I would advise trialing the combination of seats that you want, its a serious amount of cash to spend if it won't work for you.

Gileadi it sounds like we are in the same position alright with kids of the same age/seat requirements. It's Tony Kealys who I have been checking the seats with also. I had not thought of actually bringing the test car however, that's a very good idea. Can I ask :

high back booster (at a window seat) - was this secured via isofix?

a rear-facing seat for a 3 year old (in the middle seat) - did you fit this rear-facing by choice or did Tony Kealys suggest this do you mind me asking?

For us putting our soon to be 3-year-old rear-facing is unfortunately not an option. Keeping him in his seat is a challenge at the best of times. Even though we are totally pro keeping the kids rear-facing for as long as possible. When we went with our current Tuscon Tony Kealys suggested using a Joie Fortify seat rear-facing for him also. So I am keen to know if this is rear-facing to get the other two-seat to fix via Isofix.

a newborn seat (at other window) pretty easily - was this seat secured via Isofix?

I agree I am concerned about buying the car and the seating combination not being right so I will make sure it's right before purchasing it. I have never bought a new car before and am doing this out of necessity. The baby arrives in June and we have been looking into this now for a few weeks trying to figure this out and have missed the opportunity to get it anywhere near in time for June now I expect.

Also as a fyi I collected the following information on rear shoulder room which is what I was using as my guide for the cars we were looking into in more detail:

    Model. Rear shoulder room

    Vw Sharan 1578.

    Vw Touran 1518.

    Skoda Kodiaq 1511.

    peugeot 5008 1505.

    Skoda Enyaq 1488.

    BMW 2 series 1471.

    Hyundai Ioniq 5 ???

    2017 Hyundai Tuscon 1450.

It’s much more difficult to find information on the size of the middle seat. The wider the middle seat the easier it is to fit another seat. I understand it’s is 23.5cm on the Enyaq which is narrow enough. I am hoping to use the isofix for the other two seats or at least one of them for the baby.

I'm in a similar situation to both and looking at it from an electric car point of view in this price range the Enyaq or ID4 are the only real options. Enyaq takes it then with the slightly bigger boot. I'd imagine any 7 seaters that come out down the line will be starting north of 50k.

The Enyaq and ID4 have isofix in the front passenger seat also which gives more flexibility.

What base price did people get from dealers for the 60 after seai and vrt rebates, with the servicing and delivery included, so with no packs added. 42k sound about right?

The combination I got to work was: high back booster (be safe izi fix) at window, joie tilt in middle (worked forward and rear facing) and the cabriofix infant seat at other window.

I can’t fully recall if the window ones worked with the isofix but I think the infant one did (because we were moving different seats around so much we didn’t always fully fix the isofix in).

Although the measured dimension across the enyaq is smaller than my current Superb, the fact the seats are very flat and no raised bit on the bottom part of the middle seat or big foam curves between the shoulder and the door, it actually made fitting the seats much easier.

    Hi,

I ordered an iV 60 with the following extras

    Arctic silver paint ~650

    Regulus alloys ~ 200

    Climate plus pack ~ 950

    Grant was 5000

    VRT rebate approx 2900

Black Friday 'free service' discount approx 500

I think the total is around the 39,800

I think I just hit the sweet spot with the VRT rebate.
