Google store early Black Friday deals

Good price for something I've got great use out of for the last 2 years. My one gripe is that the screen is on the small side so it's a bit hard to see from a distance. Google sell the Hub Max (with a larger screen) on their UK site but don't on the Irish site for whatever reason and I think they've stopped updating the Max too which is annoying.

The Hub Max is £160 on sale in the UK store but not sure if it's worth the customs hassle or even the extra money to be honest!

What is the best place to get the hub max and avoid any customs hassle?

These look good, but just wondering do you need one near the router, I see someone else say there they had one the hall where the router is, or can I just use my existing router in its current location and one of these at the other end of the apartment extending the WiFi down there? Thanks

From my limited knowledge of this, it seems that Chromecast is only useful to people who don't have a smart tv and the gaming part of the Stadia really requires a Pro account which is €10 a month, or you need to buy games individually.

Wondering if I buy this, do I need to spend more to get it working?

I have the Nest Wifi units and a warning, you can't manually select 2.4ghz and 5ghz with the router. Can be an issue with some smart home devices only working on 2.4ghz.

Depends. We have a 4K Samsung smart tv and that doesn’t have Chromecast built in, so you have to rely on screen mirroring apps etc. and it’s all a bit too much of a faff, not to even go into the fact some apps can’t be cast that way.

€22 for a Chromecast Ultra makes absolute sense for us and is an unreal bargain. Won’t be the case for everyone, obviously.

If I picked up two Stadia I'm guessing the spare controller would work as a second controller? And then gift the spare Chromecast to someone else.
