    I have dates mixed up and the plus subscription actually ends only tomorrow, Monday- and until it expires I can't sign up to the family subscription, so please bear with me. Weirdly I can't even see what it costs.. Can one of you confirm what you see as cost for the family plan?

    I just created a new account to look at pricing. Indeed as per OP it is 1.70 per user per month. I just had to double check as I am really paying way too much for this right now.. 13.99/month

    I'm interested anyway. Need to start using Duo on a daily basis to get a grasp on Spanish and the amount of ads is head wrecking on the free version, really takes the flow out of the lessons.

    so the subscription for the family plan is paid annually as opposed to monthly, so that may put some off. at 1.70 a month x12= 20.40 upfront.

    multiply that by 6 = 122.40 upfront for the year.

    I use Mondly at €23.99 a year for unlimited languages. I chose that as it has more languages, Duolingo didn't have Afrikaans or Urdu which were the two I was looking for at the time. Worth a look if you don't want to have to share an account.

    FYI you still have your own account on Duolingo, just the payment part is managed by the family organiser.

    I'd be interested in taking a family spot for my wife as she uses this app a lot. I take it that you just provide the organizer the email address currently being used on the app and that gets added to the family, so no progress is lost from the free one.
