Rahm and Garcia are the only players who can hold their heads high. Some atrocious shots being played by professional.

The Americans look so much fitter and healthier than European team. I don't think it's a coincidence that they have ended the rounds so much better.

Apart from Brooks (who has injuries), Stricker can play any of those guys twice in a day and not think twice. Harrington has a few older players and some that don't exactly look like prime athletes.

The obvious defence of Harrington is that there was no combination of those European players that would beat the Americans. Some of his decisions have likely turned a solid beating into a potential record hammering though. No team has ever been this far behind at this stage before.

There could be a tough decade ahead for the Europeans in this competition, especially on the away years. No obvious growth of the game around continental Europe and all the big tournaments going behind the Sky paywall is killing the game in terms of the next generation in the UK.
