The bank of ireland ad with the man doing up the room like the 1950s for his mum.
If Austin powers was moving in - would he do the room up like 1960s?
I don’t observe ads much these days, but this one stands out to me. Having said that I never observed what the ad was for! All I noticed was that the guy (the father) seemed more like a grandson than the son of his mother, unless she had conceived by novel bio-engineering.
модерирует путин is the ultimate tongue twister
And only six cans between them!
She's after selling her 4 bed semi D for 450k, gives 30k to the son to kit out a room for her. Now she's stuck in that prison cell of a room probably not allowed use the other rooms in the house. The son licking his lips at the 400k he's gonna have when she dies. She probably isn't allowed use the toilet, just hand in a piss pot to her every morning.
and she's probably been staring at the same carpet and wallpaper for the last 30 years . might have wanted a change !
That new lidl ad with the 2 dads outside talking.
I was actually half wondering if this is what Bank of Ireland are angling at. Cant afford a 500k house in Dublin? Hey, get your mother to sell hers and we'll sort you out with a mortgage for whatever you want. Its like the ad is trying to condition people into the idea.
Did the ma not notice that the son had ripped out her carpets and wallpaper and moved half her furniture to do up her new room?
Catch evolve transfer
I said something similar upthread. They really want to make sure that we all know that the woman is a GRANNY.
Those children look like the ages her great grandchildren would be, not her grandchildren.
I get the feeling looking that the old lady is only a few short steps away from being bundled off into a nursing home if she as much as puts one foot wrong in 'her' new home. The daughter-in-law would be quietly be delighted to see the back of her.
Not to mention she is at the age where her mind might start playing tricks on her. That would be a serious headf*ck to be sitting in that room for 40-50 years and all of a sudden it leads into a completely different house and out to a different garden and road. More than just confusing..
Grinds my gears the second it comes on........... but what about my baby
Also her own home feels 30 years before her time.
for me its the dancing eir ad. I still think she is an mature arts student told how wonderfully she dances.
Not me, but the Eir ad which states it's broadband is 10 times the speed of light irritates the bejaysus out of my Dad. Everytime it comes on he has to point out that nothing is faster than light. Which is true.
Talk about setting your customers up for disappointment.
The yodelling ad for pizzas. I had to search what the ad was for because we change channel as soon as it comes on.
I tweeted @Dominoes_ie, saying I was boycotting Dominos until that ad is removed from the airwaves.
Hate that ad with a vengeance......wouod join your boycott only I never rated/bought their pizzas in any event
Another to add to the list. Londis ad with the mammy buying pizza for dinner.
There's a new one for Tescos using carrots as the UPS.
The guy ( carrot grower guy) is telling us about how he likes to grow a " nice shape" carrot with a "nice colour"!!!!!!! Jeez, it's a carrot
Not sure if it has been mentioned but that advert where the man is eating all the food in his freezer, peas that are still frozen etc, he is doing it so it doesn't go to waste because his fridge/freezer is broken. Then his clever wife comes in and says you could just buy a new fridge. The usual adverts where men are made out to be brain dead morons and their wives are the brains behind the operation. sickens me.
It's the Eir way!
I thought it was 10 times the speed of 'life'.
Hard to tell with these "fordy gigs of day-da" accents.
Is that not a rip off of a Friends episode?
It's blatant sexism yet it's perfectly fine when it's against a man. They have the men doing all the mopping floors now and they have women doing technician jobs. Remember the bord gais ad telling you to call if you smell gas? Used to be a man...now it's a woman.
I had the same thought about that. Very stupid ad.
McDonalds ad with people laughing.
It's almost like they are designing ads where instead of trying to get you to buy the project, they are trying to get you to toggle the mute button.
new activia ad where your one is dressed as a squirrel and has her dogs chasing her.
Very irresponsible advert that can be looked at as someone training their dogs to chase wildlife and or that it is acceptable to let your dog off the lead to chase wildlife.
Would an old person actually want that? I don't think modern nursing homes "old up" their buildings and rooms like that
Wouldn't it be great if she turns around and goes "I feckin hate that wallpaper! Your father chose it, and it's horrible!".
