Another Dubliner forced to suffer from excessive coinage

I wonder what the full story was behind it

I've seen screenshots referring to them doing the same to someone else a year or two earlier. Possibly to be a smartar$e way of giving two fingers to people who hand in their notice?

It seems to have backfired, I've seen numerous sources sharing tales of them serving canned canned Guinness, Lidl wine being served at a 9x markup and so on. Also tales of them allegedly making prospective staff work a full week for free as a trial. I'm not sure "there is no such thing as bad publicity" applies here.

It's not legal to pay someone like that for a start...

There's no doubting there's more to this story than being let on but the employer seems quite the petulant, childish and pathetic sort, some seem to think this establishment might gain from the publicity, I'd doubt that very much, its kind of Ironic given the much publicised shortage of staffing in hospitality, this will no doubt NOT assist this employer who clearly has quite a contemptuous approach to it's staff. I care not what the issue was behind the scenes, this behaviour is quite disgraceful.

I'd be curious to know also if this establishment is a member of the Restaurant Association of Ireland, you know the organisation that's been bleating on for the past few months about staffing shortages and how excited and thrilled 100's of thousands of staff we're to be returning to establishments like the aforementioned 🙄🙄🙄
