Conor McGregor just barely got his full health back, and the dude is already back to squaring up -- only this time ... he's doing it well outside the Octagon, and against Machine Gun Kelly.

The UFC star appears to have gotten into a physical confrontation Sunday on the red carpet of the MTV Video Music Awards leading into the Barclays Center -- right before showtime, no less -- in a would-be clash that was captured by several photogs on the scene.

    What the...

It was probably a PR stunt. Machine Gun Kelly will now release a song having a pop at McGregor or that tramp he’s going out with and then bang...McGregor becomes a rapper and releases a song in response.

McGregor is better than all of us here at fighting. Great, it's made him a lot of money. But all of us here are probably better than him at everything else that makes us human beings that function in a society. If you glorify someone whose only life skill involves hitting other people, your priorities are messed up.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Apparently McGregor asked him for a photo and MGK was having none of it.

Risky by McGregor, he should stick to fighting buses.

Sure he died after being in Alcatraz for 17 years https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machine_Gun_Kelly

Maybe McG wanted an easier comeback fight than "old man at the bar" and decided to start on a dead fella this time?

Imagine having all that money, all of the adulation of the idiots who hang on every word you say and defend you after assaults, sexual and physical, and yet being so insecure that if someone won't take a photo with you, or drink your gut-rot whiskey, your feeble ego causes you to lash out and attack the other person. All that fame and money wouldn't be worth it for me, if I was so pathetically insecure in myself.

Threw a drink and then squared up or maybe the other way around?

McGregor is nothing more than a performing monkey for his puppet masters. I hate hearing this nonsense that he’s a “genius” because he’s earned a few quid. He’s been manufactured by the UFC and people who build brands. McGregor is the human form of a start up business that has soared in popularity due to the idiot consumer willing to through all their money at it.

A guy I worked with is the ultimate fan boy and went to Vegas a few years ago for a fight. Himself and 5 of his buddies went over and got wind of a “McGregor special” package that was on offer once they showed their fight ticket at the hotel. They paid an arm and a leg but got a special rate on the room, a gun range experience and a VIP experience at a lap dancing club. The hotel just saw their chance to absolutely fleece these idiots that follow him.

McGregor could sell dogshit to people as long as it has his name on it. That’s the appeal of his brand now and he’s been rammed down everyone’s throats by very clever people exploiting him and his followers. He’s a tinker and he’s thick but he’s far richer than I am so what can I say?

I definitely think this latest nonsense is a PR stunt. What business had he being at the awards? All a set up I guarantee it.

This MG Kelly dude is dating Megan Fox. I didn't realise he was such a tramp. What is it with girls liking rappers? I mean I get why they like Bad Boys, but why rappers? I guess all bad boys are inked up rappers these days.

McTapper is one of those people that you just know was always a thoroughly unlikeable individual long before anyone knew who he was.

i can safely say he wasn't manufactured by the UFC :)

That whole McGregor/cage fighting/Joe Rogan/bro thing from a few years back was cringe inducing. There was even a hack on Twitter suggesting McGregor was a good role model for kids!

He's an embarrassment to Ireland, I'd prefer if he permanently relocated to the US to be honest, they adore him there.

MGK used to be a rapper until he tried to start a rap feud with Eminem who - despite being quite past it - embarrassed him in reply. The popular thing to say about it is that Eminem dissed him so hard, he made MGK change genres. He does a completely different type of music now. It's not rap. Heck it's barely even music but it is what it is.

So you’re telling me he got so big so fast all on his own? Nothing to do with them pushing McGregor down everyone’s throats and building him up to be the face of the brand all the while setting him up against mostly second rate fighters to kick the hype train up even further?

Absolutely he’s manufactured by the UFC. They see him as the ultimate cash cow and rightly so. People are stupid enough to cough up the money and they know that better than anyone. McGregor transformed the UFC brand and brought it even further into Europe and made it even bigger in America. It’s like Man United signing a South Korean or Japanese player and using them to market the club and the brand. Funnily enough, United did both in the last 15 years and held pre season tours in the Far East. All about growing the brand and that’s exactly what the UFC see in McGregor. He’s a tinker, they’d have no use for him if he wasn’t. If he was a UFC fighter from Foxrock who was a nice chap there’d be nothing about him. Because he’s a “bad boy” to US fans they lap it up. So do the muppets in Ireland with too much money. I’ve lost count of the amount of Americans who can’t understand how he’s hated in Ireland. They all think he’s adored here because that’s what the UFC are pushing. “Pride of Ireland or King of Ireland”. It’s a load of crap.

Lol the head on the fella beside McGregor with the blue shirt. WTF??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,809 ✭✭✭Hector Savage

They adore him there as they think he's crazy and funny, but in a way of laughing at him, rather then with him...

Gives the rest of Ireland a bad name.

McGregor is 5' 9''. The average height of a WWE wrestler is 6' 5''-6' 10''. McMidget would look ridiculous in the ring against those monsters. Maybe he could have a feud with Hornswaggle about who is the biggest caricature??
