Would fancy Tyrone to win based off the first half

Geaney anonymous and Barry having a nightmare. Need changes fast

This is shocking stuff. Its been a masterclass by Tyrone so far, from claiming covid was in the camp to get the game moved, to the pulling and dragging thats going on.

Mayo wont fear either of those teams. We are in a game here and at the moment, Tyrone are red hot favourites based on that first half. Kerry will have to up it big time to even stay with them here.

One would assume Tyrone will tire towards the end of the second half. If they don’t I think we will all know that they fooled everyone.

Geaney and Moynihan need to come off ASAP with O Connor and Spillane on in place of them.

Our midfield is not mobile enough. We failed to score 3-4 easy score and gave up 6-8 real easy turnovers. Our touch us terrible.

For the goal too many of our defenders were jogging back. Stephen O'Brien was brain dead for that disallowed goal and Geany was worse to pass it to him.

Very frustrating watching them trying to run directly through the centre, it's not working

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,231 ✭✭✭✭Bass Reeves

We better start putting the ball over the bar or this game will slip past us

They're pissing away so many points in their desperation for a goal

Paul Murphy has finally woken up.

    This is a tough watch

We're about as far away from a final as we've ever been. Still no sign of a defence in the crunch games.

And you've clowns on here discussing a final v Mayo. Will lads never learn.

There is absolutely no way all these lads had covid and didnt train for a fortnight. An absolute masterstroke in bullshìt from the Tyrone management and county board and the GAA bought it.

We need to make the pitch as wide as possible when we have the ball, Tyrone want to keep it narrow and we have played right into their hands

Madness, playing in to Tryones hands all game no with no meaningful adjustments.

We will be very very lucky to get away with this

Any time you have Spillane making more sense than you is an embarrassing moment

Think its the forwards who've been poor today. Poor decision making

Lads Peter Keane has lost the plot. Paul Geaney back on for extra time. Jack Barry still on the field. What on earth is he at.

Terrible from start to finish. (Finished now I’d say)

Sorry, that wasn't meant for the Kerry thread. Was referring to Kavanagh's comments on the black cards.

Paul Geaney wins advanced Mark. Doesn’t take it. Kicks a massive wide. What has he got over Peter Keane that keeps him on the pitch!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,376 ✭✭✭robbiezero

Been a passenger for quite a while now. Baffling there is no one to bring on for him.

As has become commonplace over the last few years, when the heat came on, we wilted. Turning up like we deserved to win and playing like we never saw a Tyrone team set up before.

    An utter joke.

A terrible performance as a team. Peter Keane absolutely cost this Kerry team that win at the start of the game, half time and extra time. This whole management team has to go now, every one of them!

Paul Geaney had the worst display by a Kerry player I have ever seen. Now every player can have a bad day but for the management to bring him back on in extra time is an absolute joke. Jack Barry just wasn’t in the game at all from minute 1, how he saw out most of the second half just beggars belief. Diarmuid O Connor played well when he came on and should have been on a lot earlier.

PAUL MURPHY CANNOT DEFEND! Great going forward but is not a defender.

Lastly. We were cramping all over the place even before full time and then in extra time. Tyrone weren’t which shows that they fooled everyone. However I’ve said here before I have massive concerns over the ability of Jason Mcgahan as head of athletic performance and Kerry’s fitness levels AGAIN this year I short of the other top teams.

It was like we were the ones who had been hit with Covid. Tyrone were miles fitter and much more tacticaly aware. Hopefully Keane will step down

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,231 ✭✭✭✭Bass Reeves

Absolutely brutal, going for goals against Tyrone and not taking our points cost us big time. There was an old adage in Kerry take you point, the goals will come by themselves. We tried to run through Tyrone and failed, lost possession and Tyrone scored on the counter. You would not mind but we were taking Tyrone to the cleaners on there kickouts especially in the first half. If we had taken out scores Tyrone would have had to come out and play football. But we tried to run the ball into the net and instead ran I to Tyrone defenders.

Ya Keane has to go, putting Paul Murphy CB was a disaster. He seemed to want to fit certain players into the team. We are too light in the middle third of the field and our midfield not mobile enough

Fair points, but Keane or no Keane, I don't think we are as good as we think we are.

Obviously the sham of a Munster c'ship doesn't help.
