Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Himeno ruled out. Huge loss for Japan.

Who do we have commentating on this one? Have to go find a stream, see which one to avoid.

I'm looking forward to McCloskey & Farrell together in the centre, if they click they will make yardage and hopefully give good ball to the wingers.

I see the ref won himself some front row tickets to the gun show.

    Stupid from Ryan

What a kick from Carbery. He didn't put much on it but it was perfect

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

This has been an utter rubbish 6 minutes

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,210 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Well that's one of the most directionless pieces of play I've seen in a while.

Around 5 Irish players offside there right in front of ref...

Followed by a lateral gary owen...

Great carry from Doris off that lineout.

Think the TMO will call it back as VDF probably knocked that on.

Why do we seem to struggle so much with restarts internationaly I feel like it's been an issue semi consistently for years now

Dillane & Ryan were both pulled out of that maul far too easily

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,800 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Dickson was way too fast to penalize us prior to the Japan try

I’m actually happy here! For the team that was picked this is what I expected. Vs picking players with form, or a few new caps

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,210 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Perfect opportunity to attack in Japan's 22.

That's very sloppy from the front row.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,921 ✭✭✭KH25

    Joey just fell off there.

That's par for the course though. We know he's not a strong tackler and that teams will target his channel. You make a gamble that his creative game outweighs his poor tackling.

Yellow card coming shortly if we don’t cop on

The Japs are doing a great job of sucking in tackles, taking 2-3 Irish into contact and offloading into space.

Ireland are conceding far too many penalties and have no discipline in their line

Woeful performance. Farrell didn't have the balls to back form so its deserved. We're going nowhere with this coaching ticket

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,210 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    We're in big trouble.

Can't get our hands on the ball at the breakdown and Japan's handling us too quick for us to set our defence.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,706 ✭✭✭clsmooth

What a try. Excellent by Japan.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

    WTF is this garbage

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,921 ✭✭✭KH25

    Japan are running us ragged.

Getting outfought and outskilled by Japan. One or the other...but both? Time for AF to go

Try going to be chalked off.

    Nevertheless, we are indeed shyte.

Japan are fantastic to be fair they are the most fun team to watch in world rugby

    Very jammy.

    That move deserved a try.

Lovely to watch Japan, hard to feel bad about losing to a team playing this way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 69,965 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

Brilliantly kept alive. But Ireland need to be better organised.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,617 ✭✭✭lawrencesummers

That saved Doris a lot of blushing there.

It didn't need to go forward, we opened up for them.

Japan look the better team. Better coached so far anyway.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,328 ✭✭✭theVersatile

Two lovely shots from Stockdale and Keenan during that defensive set. Hopefully we'll start getting some parity at the breakdown and slowing down their ball. POMs been doing an okay job at it up to now.
