Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hopefully none of yesterday's mishaps.

Julian, Alan and Philip are sharing the Yellow and Green, though Michael Matthews is wearing the green. Pogacar in White, Schilling in Polka Dots.

Lots of lovely scenery, and not much action for a bit as bruised bodies look after themselves

I'm going out on my bike so that's all I'm writing. Think Dan won the last time I did a similarly lazy preview so let's go with that

Schelling is brilliant, gesticulating at the bunch for letting him go and chasing him down then goes again :D

Is Rob Hatch now the lead commentator on Eurosport?

Last year it was mostly Carlton with Rob Hatch doing odd days and the middle stint of the stage.

Didn't they alternate last year who stated and finished the stages?

Big crowds on this short climb. Fantastic to see (once they give the riders plenty of space obviously)

They should set out the stage timetable in terms of domestic chores you might achieve

Delighted for Van Der Poel. He's my new favourite rider after watching him earlier in the season.

He lost time there I think vs the Slovenians. 20 seconds maybe?

Kelderman is going well. He was up there at the finish yesterday too

Terrible commentary by Kirby. He (and Kelly) never thought that MVDP was chasing time bonuses for the yellow jersey. No mention of Thomas struggling over the line.
Even though I've paid for Eurosport, maybe I should switch to ITV for the finish.
As for the cycling - Pogacar is looking very smooth.

Yeah, I like Carlton but it was a poor call today. Didn't even know about the bonus seconds at the first until the graphics came up and then at the end, I worked out well before they did that he could have been in Yellow.

    MVDP is such a superstar

You can see the emotion in him there. Must have been so much pressure on him even just pressure from himself.

MVDP is in yellow and in absolute bits.

You can sure Kirby would be doing his usual G this G that if he was going well.

MVDP in yellow with the bonus seconds?

Carlton really needs to tone down the shrieking at the stage finishes... It's not Brazillian football!

Only 10 seconds on GC between Carapaz and Thomas.

He was saying in an article for the Sunday Independednt his legs didn’t feel great yesterday’s because he hasn’t raced since the Giro. So might take him a few stages to warm up

Eurosport are starting to annoy me with the differences at the end of the stage. If you are on the ad free stream you don't get the discussion in the studio. Did it for the Giro too. Both streams should be identical one with ads, one without.

GCN app is easily the best money i spent this year

Orla is looking good in yellow today. Probably about as it's gonna get from an Irish point of view this year

I'm on desktop PC and they make it very complicated to sign up to GCN outside of an app on your phone. Last time I looked anyway so subsequently signed up with Eurosport player instead which in general is fine although you don't get the docs.

Its flaky enough for me, wouldn't be signing up for it again next year, would just use a dodgy stream instead

I think there are 2 GCN streams. There's the regular one and the one with "Live Show". Yesterday,I watched the regular one waiting for the live show. I watched the live show one today and they went straight to studio after the MVDP interview
