Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The return of the original theme tune is the best part. Best thing to happen to the Late Late Show in over twenty years. If you close your eyes while it's playing, you can pretend it's the 1990s, '80s, '70s or '60s (whichever decade you prefer) for half a minute.

Mmm...shall I spend my summer Friday nights watching ‘The Best Of The LLS’?

Subjecting myself once again to misery, fake laughter and claiming every American guest as ‘one of our own’?

I wonder what Tubs summer vacay plans are, nude sunbathing in Dalkey with a bag of cans :p

I'm sure they'll be gorgeous, bonkers, intriguing, and all of THAT.

In reality, once he gets back from the wesht, he'll probably start a search on wiki with the keywords "cancer" and "bereavement".

Seeing as he's going to be "hitting the ground running", "dialling up the funometer" etc., for the bigger, brighter and better autumn season.

Surely a funometer would be a device for measuring fun rather than generating it and dialling one up would be a form of fraud?

Looks like Tubbers wiki page has come in for some unwanted attention.
Ryan Tubridy targeted by cruel online trolls claiming he's a 'horny b****x' on Wikipedia
The crude hoaxers labelled him as “an Irish broadcaster, a presenter of live sex shows on radio and television" in Ireland

    Double dose of misery tonight…

‘The Best Of The LLS’ followed by an episode of ‘Mrs Brown’s Boys’

    So…England vs. Germany then.

The tabloids are going to be unavoidable, off-the-scale ‘Dad’s Army’ Brexit mental.

Well, personally I think all that war business should be left to the past. It ended 76 years ago, time to move on.

    Should be a good game

Although that's not until Tuesday, there's lots to enjoy before then.

Wales v Denmark is the first match on Saturday, that should be a very tasty hors d'ouevres to the knock out feast of football

Only Mel Brooks would think of having his characters tell people to "come and join da Nazi party!" in an outstanding Yiddish accent.

    I love him.

Did you see the season of Curb your Enthusiasm that was based on doing a production of The Producers? Mel made a few appearances.

No, but I definitely will now! Thank you.

I've always enjoyed this interview: Mel in the hands of a real host.

Mel Brooks is always a great guest on Talk Shows

He has stories to burn and knows how to entertain (ie not Tubbish misery)

    Loads of them on Youtube

Also, Conan finished up his Talk Show last night

    End of an era

What happened to Conan? He was on NBC here years ago, now it's just Seth Myers and a billion stock graph yokes every few mins.

Seth Myers is great, so's Conan's podcast.

Although the one with Seth as a guest wasn't as good as I thought it'd be.

Yeah, I used to love the late night shows on NBC Super Channel years ago

Jay Leno stabbed Conan in the back after retiring

Conan was sacked and came back on TBS which was a lower league channel

3e briefly showed Conan's show - he filmed this skit with the TV3 Managing Director for their new season press launch

3e dropped the show 6 weeks later

What did Jay Leno do to Conan?

All I know about that is Slash played on the show of whoever replaced him wearing a sneaky Team Conan badge.

Conan got the Tonight Show after years of waiting, then Leno took an earlier slot. Leno's show was failing so he convinced NBC to give him back his old slot and shaft Leno

Look, Dave explains it better than I ever could

Also, Conan tells everyone to turn over to Dave

    Season 4
Mel Brooks sees Larry performing some karaoke at a bar one night and is quickly impressed with his singing abilities. He then invites Larry to audition to star in a Broadway production of "The Producers". But the deal quickly goes south once Mel hits Larry in the head and Larry's doctor drools on him.

Larry is offered the lead role as Max Bialystock in Mel Brooks' musical The Producers. Ben Stiller will be playing Leopold Bloom. Larry reminds Cheryl of an anniversary gift she had promised him ten years earlier in order to encourage him to marry her: he is allowed to have sex with another woman one time.

Yeah, you must have missed all that Donie

Jimmy Kimmel had his own talk show, Leno had him as a guest at the height of the madness and Kimmel knifed him

    Crazy days
