I believe its more to do with quarantine requirements for accredited staff etc.

UEFA want to move it because of accreditation. Draghi and others want it moved or a least enter into consideration because of the transmission in the uk. Two separate things which are being conflated

This has been reported a few times now.....
The House of Lords heard that the London venue risks losing the showpiece event to another country if the UK cannot meet UEFA's attendance requirements.

I'm sure quarantine requirements are also an element but it looks like attendance numbers are a major consideration.

Draghi never mentioned variants in your quote.

Feck sake. I specifically said transmission not variants in the last post. Now, what do you think is driving transmission and do you think Draghi is not fully aware of what he is talking about?

I believe its to do with the 2500 officials being able to avoid quarantine not the overall attendance.

Football body warns it will take match from London to Hungary unless quarantine waived for 2,500 officials

Sigh..... they verify your details from your credit card on check-in.
Do you know of any restaurant last summer that verified the names or phone numbers they were given by walk-ins ?

Hang on - you think when the hotel pre authorises your card for payment that your name, phone number and address pop up??

If you give the hotel your name as Mr Smith from Cavan with a random phone number, that’s what will be passed on to contact tracers. Can use any email address for booking purposes.

Draghi is not trustworthy unless you have something to gain from his machinations (unlikely, unless you are a mega-rich CEO). He is in a way more responsible than even Conte for the lockdowns.

His policies at the ECB have made debt-based lockdowns economically possible, while also allowing wealth consolidation on a huge scale as large corporations buy up the assets of destroyed businesses with money borrowed at near zero rates.

There is also unprecedented buying up of farmland and real estate. Forget which economic historian said it but it has been described as 'a new enclosure'.

A wealthy elite will soon own(almost) everything - that is the economic reality of lockdown.

Why have outdoor food sellers been put out of business even as large food manufacturers consolidate market share through (indoor) supermarkets? Makes no sense on the face of it.

So I got my covid passport and funny enough it's valid for one year.
I'd love to know what they intend to do once it expires.

    Because we're concerned
We're more than a little concerned ,we're very concerned!

It's reached a point where we're going to have to tell Tony "It's what it is"

Great to hear Gabriel Scally getting called exactly what he is, a scaremonger, on Newstalk there, also he tried to argue with Ciara Kelly on the definition of an anecdote cus thats all he had to back up his claims of younger people dying to the delta variant.

Stay out of athlone according to the indo. The deadly delta variant is rampant there.

6 cases detected and no deaths recorded.

One in hospital after being paralysed in a car crash he tested positive, but they all count.

    Icu over run with tumbleweed.

My quick guess is, you'll get a booster vaccine and be given another updated passport.

Because the best strategy is to ignore potential risks, even when they are low. Worked well in January 2020

how come everything these doctors say contradicts their previous sentence?

e.g. we can't open up for another 2 years until 7 something billion people are vaccinated..... but i thought they said vaccines only last 9 months or something, booster jabs blaa blaa blaa ????!!! which is it ? two years is nearly 9 months times 3, make that maths work please mr doctor ?

worstest pandemic evers in a century but only some pharma companies are making vaccines, not all of them. if you an old black or brown skinned person in a poor country you don't deserve a vaccine as quick as us whiteys.

no actual public health measure we're advised that help with general health e.g. take vitamins, reduce sugar intake, encourage more fruit and veg consumption, subsidise fruit/veg/vitamins even more and tax very unhealthy foods even more.. the goodwill was there last year to push better health, it's gone now though.

fast food take aways / off-Licences open churchs and garden centers(with higher or no ceilings) closed

the vaccines are good, but keep wearing your mask and blaa blaa blaa

we need herd immunity but we're not testing people for antibodies, if people had the antibodies they were saying you might only need one dose, so wouldn't you hit your vaccination targets earlier by checking these things ? you would need less doses.

schools were safe, but teachers wearing masks still, schools need ventilation but no ventilation installed while the schools we're closed(not locally anyway), butter to have children sitting in rooms with windows open and their coats on, christ almighty.

no extra hand washing facilities installed in schools after being told to up hand hygiene, just spreading more chemicals on children's hands, that's going to work out well for their livers, kidneys and immune systems(sarcasm there for the FG/FF funded gestapo in case you missed it)

you could spend all day pointing out these circular logics.

anyway, i'm off to work for the rest of the day. best wishes to the thought police that will spend the day on here spreading hate and bile towards those who don't accept everything the civil service/politicans tell us as gospel. i will say a little prayer for you to hopefully learn to hate a little less
