I don't even know what the Dems did. A conference of world powers was held and a Democratic President went to it in the same manner in the plane specifically equipped for transporting the US President like many before him.

You have to figure it is a good sign for Biden if travelling in Air Force One is the level of failure we are talking about.

Ah, I think we’re passed expecting any self awareness from certain posters.

It looks like Joe had a word in Bojo's ear about identity politics.

So you're going to forget your last post ever happened and are now instead just quoting other world leaders and suggesting that's it's relevant to this thread as it sounds like something you believe Biden would say?

Hang on, so now Biden is making BoJo extend runways for Air Force One and also telling BoJo what to say?

Surely that make Biden a strong and powerful world leader.

Why couldn’t Trump bend BoJo to his will? It’s obviously quite easy to do if Biden did it after 1 meeting.

    Trump really was useless.

So much for climate control and being green.

What a shocking waste of money, if the runway was extended for Trump there would be outrage in the media.

Can't believe Biden didn't redesign all the planes and make them smaller. Outrageous!

Hey, at least the replacement AF1's, slated for 2024, that the #IMPOTUS failed to get cheaper despite his bigly negotiating skills will be.. hmm... bigger it seems than this one. Problem is likely the pokey Cornish airfield they're using.

If the #IMPOTUS had flown to this field, it would have had to be extended.

In fairness, you seem like the perpetually offended one... So far Biden is showing more leadership than Trump or Johnson have ever demonstrated.

Here is Johnson in January this year talking about Trump:

"As you say, in so far as he encouraged people to storm the Capitol, and in so far as the president has consistently cast doubt on the outcome of a free and fair election, I believe that was completely wrong. I believe what President Trump has been saying about that has been completely wrong and I unreservedly condemn encouraging people to behave in the disgraceful way that they did in the Capitol."

Here is Johnson talking about Trump in 2015:

"I think Donald Trump is clearly out of his mind if he thinks that's a sensible way to proceed, to ban people going to the United States in that way, or to any country. What he's doing is playing the game of the terrorists and those who seek to divide us. That's exactly the kind of reaction they hope to produce.

When Donald Trump says there are parts of London that are ‘no go’ areas, I think he’s betraying a quite stupefying ignorance that makes him frankly unfit to hold the office of President of the United States.

I would invite him to come and see the whole of London and take him round the city - except I wouldn’t want to expose any Londoners to any unnecessary risk of meeting Donald Trump."

What’s actually hypocritical about landing a plane on a runway someone else built?

Interesting that the Lincoln project is still around. Thought that they had imploded as regards financial shenanigan's and grooming allegations.

They're pretty horrible but I'm not entirely surprised, it was very much so the enemy of my enemy logic. Given how Trumpism has taken over the party, they're not really in the position they thought they'd thought they'd be in at this point at this point imho.

One of the co-founders was alleged to have been involved in grooming. Some other members were seemingly ignoring the accusations.

    That's terrible.

To be honest, they were never a group of people I admired much. But their anti Trump ads really helped last November so I thank them for that.

Most of them are neocon hawks

Yeah they are very much of a neocon, interventionist sort. The stories about the various negative aspects only came out in the early period of the Biden administration. Imagine a lot of their indiscretions could be overlooked when there was a danger of a another Trump term.

They are in an awkward position. Imagine some of the members thought they would waltz into some new posts under the guise of bipartisanship. Alternatively they would merge back into the GOP having spent a few years as the "principled conservatives", out of the party due to their disgust at populism.

Neither seems to be happening. If I was particularly cynical I would predict that they try to limp to the midterms. Then use wishful thinking to solicit more donations for Senate races etc.

The only issue with the runway in Cornwall is that Johnson flew down there from London, instead of taking the train.

Well if everyone else is showing up in a plane why not.

Should be surprised at the fake outrage about Air Force one, but am definitely not.

This right here gave me waves of emotional relief, that we once again have a POTUS with neurotypical human thoughts and feelings, such as remorse, and humility.

    https://www.mediaite.com/tv/biden-apologizes-for-heated-spat-with-cnns-kaitlan-collins-i-shouldnt-have-been-such-a-wise-guy/

This afternoon, Biden snapped at CNN's Kaitlyn Collins for suggesting with her question that he had some degree of "confidence" in Putin changing his ways. “I’m not confident he’ll change his behavior. Where the hell — When did I say I was confident?” adding that she was “in the wrong business.”

by the time he got back on the ground though Biden had been humbled:

“I owe my last questioner an apology,” he said. “I shouldn’t have been such a wise guy with the last answer I gave.”

“Look, to be a good reporter, you’ve gotta be negative. You’ve gotta have a negative view of life, it seems to me, I apologize for having been short before.”
