Just checking in here. Not surprised to see the usual freaks still moaning about their liberties being infringed. They are the epitome of misery porn ****.

The country is more or less open again. There is plenty to do. Go out an live your lives instead of trawling through the internet looking for more anti restriction nonsense to gleefully moan about.

That time has long passed I'm afraid.

With you being vaccinated I`m getting the impression that as far as you are concerned it`s "I`m all right Jack, so fcuk the rest of ye"

And what would you call the people on here defending the restrictions to the hilt and trying to justify all things covid?

Fuq all to do with what was being discussed though is it - that everyone is supposedly fully vaccinated according to yourself!

But aye - the same auld bullcrap trotted out by covid deniers since the very first day Covid became international news and a global pandemic. All the big lads...

    Nothing has changed apparently...

Let me get this straight. A vaccinated person with no symptoms, with the vulnerable vaccinated (and who have free will to stay at home) is a danger to society?

The testing made sense back when we knew little about this virus and when we had no vaccines. I will not be going for any tests now, irregardless of whether some lad who was taking a leak in the same jacks as me 5 minutes earlier tested positive.

If you want to carry on living like this, fire ahead.

I'm not a covid denier. Far from it. Not sure which cloud you plucked that from.

    Really ?
Seems even with their higher vaccination levels in the U.K. it is still quite a big deal there if you are not fully vaccinated.
It is now the dominant strain in the U.K. being 40% more transmissible with over 5,000 new cases daily, and has Matt Hancock stating that the U.K. government are "absolutely open" to delaying the final lifting of England`s lockdown on June 21st if necessary.

How is their hospitalisations looking over there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,024 ✭✭✭✭Baggly

I am referring to the con job that Tony and the government pulled, using scenes from India to try and keep the suppression going here. Drumming into people its more transmissible, vaccine resistant etc.

There was a big outbreak in India, people died, same as here at Christmas.

Tony was checking his worryometer and noticed people had stopped caring, so the India pictures suited him nicely to put the boot on peoples necks.

The delta variant is all blown over now, not much talk of it.

    Fully vaccinated = two doses

And again the absolute majority of those under 65 and those deemed in vulnerable under that age in groups 4 or 7 are not fully vaccinated as you seem to believe.

Its nothing about hyperbole "a danger to society" or whatever - its about understanding the basics at least. Something not everyone seem to have grasped unfortunately.

    You're doing it again,

You're replying to things you have imagined people have posted rather than to what they actually posted.

    Why?

    How many in hospital today?

So, nobody has protection after one dose? Good to know. Somebody tell those in the UK that they should have stayed at home until they had a second jab!

Somebody tell NPHET who deem being fully vaccinated to be 4 weeks after first dose of AZ for the purposes of less restrictions.

We can go round and round in circles if you wish. Bottom line is, with the vulnerable being at least partially vaccinated, with ICU and hospital numbers being tiny, and with myself and my loved ones vaccinated, I will not be going for covid tests, and I will avoid giving info for contact tracing unless I have no choice but to provide the information.

We have to break out of this way of living. Case numbers are becoming incredibly meaningless.

Its the first dose that matters...

Again feq all to do with what discussed - is it? Where someone declaring themselves and others 'vaccinated' - even though its obvious thats only one dose for the majority of cases discussed.

But wow. I do hope you've contacted the leading scientists and the World Health Organisation with your new breakthrough discovery.

Well done there. A medal at least for that...

And if you really are smart - you should have little issue finding out the hospital numbers

Hint. Maybe look look at the age profile of who is "fully vaccinated".

    Meh

Bottom line is, restrictions will continue to be eased in a measured manner regardless of your refusal to cooperate with contract tracing.

You'd easily get irritated with the usual suspects spouting the same overcautious hand wringing rhetoric but then you remember that they've been subjected to the most intense champaign of fear coupled with the most severe curtailment of civil liberties seen in our lifetime.

    Haven't we all.

Some can see through the incompetence.
    Some can't

    Seriously, get a grip.

I disagree with your opinion I have no intention of getting involved in petty name calling.

If you want to imagine that's what I think of people I disagree with, that's entirely on you.

When the **** hit the fan they couldnt even test known close contacts and in fact stopped testing them altogether unless they had symptoms.

Writing down 4 million peoples mobile nos with pen and paper in restaurants across the country was just more stupid theatre where we "pretended safety" - like pods in tiny unventilated classrooms , or no transmission in schools , or 9 euro meals or *insert a thousand other stupid pointless rules that a child could poke a hole in*

That pretty much sums up the entire pandemic response from Irish officials - do as little as possible, and that little primarily focused on politics, optics, and deflecting blame.

We have 77 hospital after a bank holiday.

Could be about 60 by the weekend.

But its not the first dose that matters.
