Hi Guys. Due to stay in hotel with kids on Friday. Is indoor dining available in hotels or what ?

It's available for overnight guests only.....so you're good to go!

Edit: link to a handy Q&A on the hotels reopening - https://www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/irish-news/q-a-what-can-guests-expect-from-hotel-reopening-1.4581398

you think the public guidelines are poor just have a look at the bord failte guidlelines for restaurants, hilarious .
like this beauty.. it reads like a county council criteria for having an extension. a weather safety plan ?? who writes this bull

Sure because temporary structures like the ones proposed will not be effected by adverse weather conditions.

    No way, would never happen.

They should remove it immediately from all safety plans on temporary structures.

So pubs should just be allowed put up any structure they like without any sort of safety plan????

The doom and gloomers are really running out of ammo.

Pre covid nobody cared really about how safe the building of the pub is and I don't think many will care now

obviously not, just don't write a bucket of ****e that no one is going to follow because it makes no sense ! simples.
I wonder if bord failte staff will be going around looking for your weather plan ! what a laugh

Nope. He didn't, his comments were on a very specific geographical location and situation, which were 100% backed up by video footage.

Again, none of that is my opinion.

    A location he was in.

If he was in your location or my location or any other location, he would have said the exact same thing because it's been happening for months and anyone I know who works in the hospitality sector has said the same thing

    You're right, he's a space cadet.

    ridiculous answer.

tell me with your superior knowledge do existing pubs with outdoor areas before the pandemic have to have a weather plan in place ?
no they didn't because it was common bloody sense same as it is now for any pub restaurant doing it !.

    Cool.

Like I said the 2 locations I was in was nothing like the situation he commented on.

    So, Nope!

Why don't you ask your mate who 100% guaranteed indoor dining wouldn't be back until August?

But anyway, yes there is health and safety guidance on anything temporary that has the potential to become a hazard.

    This isn't new.

And you're telling me that if he saw you or whoever else who hasn't received their vaccination shot, out hanging out or having a few drinks, he wouldn't have tweeted the same thing?

Sorry pal, that's very naive thinking. He has commented on people mingling before that was nothing to do with the scenes last week. I genuinely think it's very naive to think he wouldn't have said anything.

Yesterday in Bray, on the promenade, there were people spaced out, having drinks, enjoying the sun, sitting on the grass, going for a swim etc...If he drove past, 100% certain he would have tweeted something.

On another note, I don't believe he drove down there on Saturday night. Given his status and the public's opinion, there is no way in hell he drove down there and wasn't spotted by anyone

So not only can you tell the future with 100% clarity, you can do so with various alternative scenarios.

    Quite the skill.

    Good for you.

Classic Boggles and his "well I have no answer because I've been caught yet again so I'll just try to insult the poster" responses.

Never mind the pubs and the outdoor weather conditions, your posts should come with a health and safety warning

Answer to what? you asked a question I could not possibly answer.

You stated you 100% know what another person would tweet in every situation.

What is one suppose to think about that declaration?

You left out the word 'safety'.

Just because you are confused by it doesn't mean it's not real.

you left out the outdoor dining qnswer AGAIN ? answer on a post card please !

I think we will be waiting for your answer on that one ......

    personal attacks mmm,

Pointing out that you are confused by health and safety guidelines that have been in existence for decades is not a personal attack.

    It's a fact.

As for outdoor dining, you can indulge from Monday, or indoor if you are lucky enough to be staying in a hotel, guesthouse or B+B from today on.

Or just go to your local bookies where you can have a 4 course meal apparently.

you don't know me from adam so stop guessing that I get confused easy. play the ball not the man.

It will be great to see loads of people out and about again this weekend enjoying picnics and takeaway pints etc. Poor auld Tony and a few members on here will have a meltdown :D

For someone who is obviously completely anti-lockdown measures, you seem to be living a pretty sheltered life. I've been seeing loads of people out and about practically every weekend since this happened. I've had multiple picnics and been enjoying takeaway pints for months now, and have yet to see this meltdown you speak of. Maybe you should have been out and about yourself?

There's an awful amount of smug, hyperbole in that post but, thankfully, it doesn't reflect reality.

I'm not guessing, nor did I suggest you confuse easily.

I went out of my way as did others to explain why you would need health and safety plans around temporary structures particularly during adverse weather conditions.

You claimed that was "bullshít" and "nonsense".

So when Kerry had a 14 day incidence rate of above 1100, what level should they have been at and why?

That was for a short time have you looked at their stats in totality it is not only about 'case' numbers?..Hospital never over ran... wasnt that the point of restrictions? were you following spookwomans daily postings on hospital stats like I was?

They divided a and e early into covid and non covid...set up a special ward all very early on and that was with a tiny ICU 5/6 beds which included other types of ICU patients ... Top 2 in the country regarding working with the local private hospital aswell.

level 5 there was always over kill... level 3 continously would have been better.

They kept it out and away from the majority of older folk for nearly a year this kept them safe inorder for better treatments to come on board and up their vit D levels etc. A couple of patients transferred to cork but they also took patients from the limerick geographic area.

I have had a seriously ill relation in and out of hospital there for the past year and a half including A and E... Things worked very well a credit to all the hospital staff and that is including the fact that a lot of the early cases there were HCWs.

Early march c40 deaths which has gone up a tiny bit since then in a poulation of 147,707... and thst is with one of the most elderly populations...give credit were its due if it wont kill you a bit metaphorically speaking :D

So none of that success was down to level 5 mitigation.

And they would have fared exactly the same continuously at level 3?
