Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They have Neon and other Tetras on offer in the Pet Shop in Omni, 10 of them for 14€. Also Zebras for 5 for 6€.

I have had 2 tanks for some time and have been meaning to upgrade one of the external filters as it was a bit small for the tank. Pushed into that when a piece of the nozzle broke on the other Fluval 305.....so got myself a nice upgraded filter at the cost of my entire Saturday

Upshot is I have a Fluval 305 external filter perfectly functional (if a little old) that would just need a new connector between the pump and the pipes. Free to anyone who wants it, though im in the market for a female adult bristlenose, some nice plants and snails that wont eat them if anyone wanted to offer!!! :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,246 ✭✭✭Mgoraf

Where are you based fungun? I've been thinking of getting an external filterfor my tank as I don't think the internal is good enough. I have some baby plecos not adults though...

I have a Beech Juwel Rio 180 in the shed that doesn't look like it's going to find a spot in our new home. Currently has a bed of natural gravel as seen in the pics in the Show us your tank thread.

    330360.JPG

It's been out of action for about 6 months so it'll need a good clean, though when I last had it set up I managed to breed scarlet tetras in it quite by accident so there were certainly no contaiminants in it then!

Open to offers of corals / marine stuff or cash. Will be listing a fair few bits and pieces on adverts over the next few days so keep an eye out here: http://www.adverts.ie/search/user-18722/status_active/type_all

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,120 ✭✭✭fungun

    Is that my tank :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,268 ✭✭✭✭Sleepy

Yep, your old one! I had hoped to convert it to a marine setup but the realities of buying an 100 year old house scuppered that plan so I'm staying with the old setup for the foreseeable :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,268 ✭✭✭✭Sleepy

Selection of freshwater food and treatments going to whoever wants them.

If you have any coral frags you're willing to part with in exchange, that'd be brilliant but happy to see them go to anyone who can make use of them!

The catfish is gone and I will only give the dollar to someone who has a few of them already.

Doing some redecorating at home and need to downsize :(

I'm looking to trade a 125L Juwel for something around 80L, if anyone is looking to upsize. Will be including the stand.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,736 ✭✭✭✭kylith

Now for sale: Structurally sound 120L Juwel with stand. Lights would need to be beefed up if you wanted plants, but other than that its perfect. €100 OBO. Needs to go.

Have a few good cryptocoyne usteriana offshoots if anyone's interested or looking to swap something?
Hardy plant with no especial light/CO2 requirements, they make great side/background plants.

Gonna reiterate the above offer for some lovely mature cryptocoryne usteriana, free to a good home - I've no room left so they'll just be going in the bin if there are no takers, would hate to see them wasted.

Hi, I have 2 common/comet goldfish that I'm looking to re-home to a pond or a very large tank. They're currently 5-7 inches in length.
I also have 3 fantails/black moors and a ranchu that I'm also looking to rehome.

They're all about 2-3 years old.

No swap or anything in return just looking to get them into a more permanent home.

After many many many years fishkeeping (I proposed this swap shop!) I am moving home and wont be able to take my tanks with me :( So goodbye and thanks to all the people I swapped stuff with on here over the years!!

In terms of my tanks, my main one is on adverts. (https://www.adverts.ie/fish-tanks/juwel-vision-450-cichlid-set-up/26708048) cos its too much to give away really but I also have some smaller tanks, a Trigon 190 which is set up for plants but had a bad summer last year when someone cared for it so only has a few fish in it, also I have an old goldfish tank....mmmm, 60 litres Id say. Id certainly give the goldfish one away if anyone wants it; Ill probably look for something for the Trigon, but if anyone swapped with me before, Id give it to you in return for the swap I got!!! :)

Hi @fungun . I haven't swapped with you yet but would be interested in the 60liters if you are giving it away. I currently have a 19 liters tank with 6 ember tetras.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,120 ✭✭✭fungun

yeah no problem at all. Whereabouts are you. That one is literally just the tank.

Actually I must just check the volume so Im not accidentally misleading you! Ill check that and send you a pm

I have four T8 bulbs going free, they have all been used but should be still working (I can no longer test them following ballast failure in my Juwel unit).

They are from a juwel vision 260, 1047mm long.

    Collection in D12
