M2, please! It provides a subliminal punch as it passed you, small but mighty.

I did yeah on the provision that I get the 5k grant, if I don’t get that I can pull out. Not that confident at the moment that it will come through, which will be annoying as I’ve made a custom order.

Reading online as well that BMW have a parts shortage and are not able to fulfil the Harmon Kardon and comfort access which would be really annoying. But let’s see what happens

I read on the e tron thread that once you have a chassis number the 5k grant can get approved so even if the car doesn't come until after July you will get the grant once the application is approved before the end of June.
Some people would say that when you are spending that much on a car, 5k one way or another shouldn't make a difference. that was the argument for taking it away on cars over 60k anyway.
the parts shortage seems to be a problem for lots of manufacturers right now.

Don’t understand why he went portimao blue when it’s a colour you can get on any 3 series. I would have gone for a M3 specific colour. Not a fan of the black wheels either.

He didn’t want to get the same colour as Shmee (the dose) and he said in an earlier video that he wanted a colour that would stand out in videos etc, so that probably ruled out the various shades of grey.

Not keen on black wheels either.

Not sure what the M3 specific colours are other than the green, the blue is lovely I think - almost makes you forget about the front grille. Not a fan of the style of wheel, too busy, and that orange interior is terrible. Rest of it looks great.

I suppose he has to have a different colour than the other you tubers but the blue is pretty cool on the car.
The black wheels are poxy and the orange seats are particularly bad.
It must be great to be able to get one from BMW UK with the influencer discount all the same.

Would've gone for Silverstone if that's what they still call it. Rory Reid's M3 vid had it - still looks great.

The interior doesn’t go with that exterior at all imo but I like both colours

I like the exterior colour and I'd get over the black wheels but those orange seats are an abomination.

I think they would look great with black or white exterior paint, they clash with basically most other colours

Yeah totally agree, the 3 and 5 still look good, retaining the acceptable grill size. The 4 I'm just unsure of. It's striking, that's for sure. But the 1 is just shockingly badly designed. They really messed that one up, for a supposedly sporty hatch it almost has an mpv look about it with the high sloping bonnet.

That M4 is a monster of a yolk and a bit of a head scratcher in the design. It looks aggressive and menacing but overdesigned too. I wonder in a year or two will these new designs be accepted and people will remember them fondly later on like the E60 era cars...
Strangely when the current 7 was released everyone said the grill size was far too big and now it seems OK

Have a work trip to Limerick today, made the decision last night to take the SL500 for its first long spin instead of the Audi. Nothing to bring with me only myself and some paperwork so why not.

Have it nearly 6 months now and apart from looking at it and short spins I haven't driven it properly yet. I am 10 mins away from n7 here in Dublin then I've a 15 minute drive in limerick countryside after coming off motorway at the other end. Might go the long way around!

Pissing rain so I won't be hammering it down, just sit back, listen to Tommy and Hector podcast and relax

If time allows, go our the N69 as far as Tarbert on the coast road and fly back in again.

If you were in Limerick today I doubt you'd be suggesting that, its more like a December day than a May one. Heavy rain and wind warnings.

I don’t think you’ll be taking the top down. It’s like winter down here today.
    Hope you enjoy nevertheless.

It's 46c where I am today. I might add horrible. You can dress for cold weather, there's no escaping heat. Especially in suit trousers and a shirt and tie.

Never knew there was a weather warning! Didnt enjoy that at all, torrential rain and surface water the entire width of the country. Going past trucks blinded by spray for the time it takes to pass them. Car is lovely and comfortable but its not the day to enjoy it. One of those days keeping eye on the road for surface water.

Getting out of here and heading back up the road ASAP. Got passed by a McLaren SLR on the way down, based on Merc SL body. He was obviously more comfortable behind the wheel of his than I was!

Thankfully it’s only 40c here, but I’m exceptionally lucky that the job allows me to wear shorts and a t-shirt, don’t know how people handle fully dressed.
