Over 7.5 rounds in Yarde v Arthur @ 4/5

Think Arthur is getting a bit overlooked in this and belongs at or close enough to this level for it to be competitive. Think Yarde should win but would be surprised if he blasts Arthur out of there early. Think that total rounds line is a bit on the low side.

4/1 for Same Eggington to win on points tomorrow (Friday) looks a big price. Would expect him to outwork Theopane but don't think his power has been the same since he has moved to 154. Boxrec has it listed as only being a ten rounder so not a huge ask for Theopane to last the pace with him hopefully.

3/1 on Paddy Power. Still good value, good shout again. Theopane went the distance with Danny Garcia and went late with Broner in the past. Eggington seems to be very lacking in power at 154, as you said. Theopane is very dogged. Good chance of it going 10 rounds.

Yeah no lack of doggedness from Theopane. Just a bit more outgunned than I expected and legs definitely not what they once were. Couldn't get out of the way and Eggington just way too big for him.

Not much left there in the tank. Could be his last bout. He was surviving during every round, didn't really offer anything. If he'd have made it to round 7 or 8 I think Eggington would've settled for the points victory.

Jake Paul is around 1.85 to win his bout with Ben Askren next week. Askren's a wrestler with terrible boxing so this seems like a really decent price on Paul despite his own inexperience.

I like to avoid betting these fights as I genuinely don't know much about either but after seeing Askren on the scales I couldn't help myself and have backed Paul via KO @ evens. Askren looks like he hasn't trainer a lick for it.

Askren may not have the hands of Roy Jones Jr, but he has a granite chin.

Jake Paul isn't a boxer, his fundamentals are atrocious. He relied on his power getting rid of a Youtuber and a retired basketballer. He'll need more than a left hook and overhand right to get rid of Askren.

Askren is like an elite wrestler though isn't he? Surely the danger of him getting a takedown is what keeps a good striker off him in MMA. Now that threat is taken away I don't see there being anything to stop a boxer just walking straight through him. Even if his chin is great he can easily be stopped through accumulation if he can't answer back.

Just have to think those who are calling the shots behind the scenes know what they are doing here too. Hard to believe they've let a cash cow like Jake Paul lose to a relative unknown to the mainstream in Ben Askren. Too much more money to be made out of Paul to fall at this early a hurdle unless someone has completely ****ed it.

Boxing stamina is very specialist and specific.

So, unless he’s been boxing training, which we don’t know, then he may find it quite demanding...

Paul is now 4/6 and Askren shortening to 5/4. I think Paul is a good bet, casual fans especially love taking the plus money they won't take prices like 4/7 that's the reason i think money came in on Askren (and cause so many people hate Paul). Same type of people who would bet Conor Mcgregor vs Floyd: betting based on the better price and who they like (back then he wasn't a national embarrassment just yet)

And how did that work out. MMA fighter lost when he tried to box. Yes Floyd was levels above Conor and Paul is a youtube jocket going against a guy who fought a lot and was pro for a while. But it didnt work for Conor crossing over to boxing and he really just did it for money and I think same applies here it's a payday for Askren and a stepping stone tomato can guy for Paul to beat but theyll make it entertaining for a while.

Also Paul is younger and in serious shape. Didnt Askren have a hip replaced like last year just?

What's the story with that? 2 stiffs, and yer man fell over as soon as he got hit. The fella who won isn't a boxer, he's some social media narcissist. So why is it so publicised? Wouldn't it be like a completely random event, like a snooker match between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte. That was not a fight, it was a fiddle. They are making a mockery of boxing.

I had no money on it,,, but fair play to the lads who bet Paul when he was floating around 10/11. Jake is obviously not exactly Tyson Fury but he has spent the last 3 years working hard on the craft and seems to be taking it relatively seriously.

Ben looking at the state of him and how little he seemed to care despite been knocked out in the first round clearly just wanted a pay day. That's fine , but glad to see the guy who took it more seriously win. :P

Katie Taylor UD @ Evens looks decent tonight no?

I think Jonas is fairly made for her. Need to have a high work rate to give Katie problems and Jonas is more of a pure boxer. Can see Katie beating her to the punch fairly consistently and winning wide.
