Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Somehow it was all the Brits fault and dole scroungers won't go to war because they get more money on the dole.

There'd be a certain cohort never missing an opportunity to praise Hitler, Mussolini, Franco and drop anti-semitic references and maybe anti-British ones too.
A certain cohort praising Stalin and his 10 Year Plan.

Questions about how much we should help refugees from Europe.

Questions about how to and where to go if you are trying to emigrate to the US, UK.

I know some people feel that Hitler goes a bit too far sometimes, but anyone who annoys the woke brigade as much as he does can't be all bad. Anyway, you can't make an omelette without cracking a few eggs. History will be kind to him, mark my words.

Ferguson t20 wiped out the horse and a huge percentage of farm labour along with it, a few quid a diesel and a basic understanding of how to screw stuff on and off versus hay , farrier and vet fees

That was well into the 50s and 60s before it did (father remembers setting turnips in mid/late 70s with a horse)

WW2 and the explosion of mechanicisation seen to it,but up until then it was firmly in the balance as the amount of machinery available to horse such as mowers/hay turners ground driven sprayers etc was increasing every year

Afaik it also heralded the end of the big ship building yards as welding took over from rivets due to it being faster!

They were still blueshirts then, few years after they'd contemplated a coup when DeValera won
