Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I had a quick glance at the previous Elephant and no-one messed up on carrying over letters between each question. Hopefully, it will be the same for this game. But, if someone were to mess up on their letters, surely that is wrong so maybe they should get zero?

Yeah that's the plan, if it doesn't line up it's a zero. Likely won't happen though... or has it happened already?

All I know is this is fairly apt to describe this game...oh and it's creator of course :D

Gosh you made me check mine again :D yeah not carrying the letters seems fair for a zero, what you put between them otherwise though :pac:

Right, on very little sleep and a LOT of googling, I'm in.

    My brain hurts :(

There are a number of questions in this elephant game with very finite correct answers (but of course no answer is wrong in Sheep!) compared to the last one, where there were many paths one could take!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 609 ✭✭✭Hillybilly4

That was devilishly, head-wreckingly tricky...but fun!
    I'm in! :D

    You coy...
    UnacceptableWellwornArchaeocete-max-1mb.gif

If you don't give them a dry run yourself, how can you know they are not impossible?

    ;)

Nicely flowing now, up to 11 players.

I have actually submitted answers myself but I won't be taking part naturally, I'll reveal my answer for each question on the night of the big unveiling :D

I feel like I deserve a bonus for coming up with a chain of (vaguely, possibly) correct answers at all!

I started this today, got stuck, work got really busy, and I shut the excel sheet without saving what I had done. It is very difficult!!

Started well and fell at the third hurdle. This one will take a little thinking.

I tried starting at the beginning.
Realised that wasn't going to work.
Started again, in the middle, working backwards.
    Got a bit stuck.
Went to the end, worked backwards.
    Nope.
    Middle outwards again.
    Alles uber der gaffen.
I've worked as a relief milker so am familiar with some cattle breeds but not as familiar as I am now!

I dropped anchors at the start, middle and end, then there was less to fill in, albeit they were harder to find :D

Necro! Wake up! For the book, are you taking the The out or is the The the start?

    Can "The Book" be T and/or B?

EDIT: That's a whole load of the

I never count "The" unless someone specifically indicates they want to tbh or it's obvious they want it included

I’ve hit plenty of brick walls in the few attempts I’ve made so far. Wondering if I should turn the computer on and open a spreadsheet. Notes on my phone is difficult.

    How long have I got?

Well this changes EVERYTHING. And there I was thinking I at least had the end of it complete.
I'm learning an awful lot about cattle and English premier league teams right now.

I had two spreadsheets on the go :o

And they still weren't enough, I had to resort to scribbles on an envelope (literally!) lying nearby.....

You and LeVar made me take the plunge into it really. Its brilliant

With the amount of giving out and supposed struggling going on, I'm starting to think not a lot of people were on the same wavelength as me with my "obviously everyone is going to do it this way, you'd be mad not to" line of thinking...

It's grand though, I'll be content with a moral victory in the end... :pac: :pac: :pac:

Given the complete bottleneck in the middle (I wonder will there be any variety in answers there at all???), I'm absolutely fascinated to see how people got to it, and then got back out of it :D

Well there are two answers in a row that can only have one specific answer as far as I can see. I could be wrong though.
    This raises two possibillities:
    1. Setting those questions together was a complete fluke, mere happenstance.
    2. Necro is an evil genius who purposely crafted those questions with the aim of driving us all round the twist.

    I know which option I believe ;)

That he's a flukey bollocks that got lucky its actually possible and only realised after the fact that he should've tried out the game himself first?

    Yeah, that's what I think too... :D

A toast to your TV show walrus which I used to try answer the TV show question!

@Trigger - glad you like it - it was my last day in my old job yesterday, and at my goodbye WebEx call, 2 of the team said the thing they had to thank me for most was getting them watching Schitt's Creek :D We then went on to wax lyrical about it so I hope we got a few more converts!

Exactly that, just make sure the last letter of your previous answer aligns with the first letter of your next one :D

    So as an eg

    Santa
    Apple
    Eskimo
    Orange
    etc...

Wow, could your "coded message" be any less subtle... :pac:

Can't bail you out anymore sis, this isn't like the good old days when we would sit around watching TV and helping each other with homework, we ain't rugrats anymore.
