This FPL season summed up today.

Thank **** I have gave up caring weeks ago!

Yeah makes a farce of it, what is more annoying was that I saved a transfer.

Covid19 ok I get, bad weather OK, protests its is taking the p.

No matter who owns United or Liverpool they will always be businesses dressed up as football clubs. But many of both of the fans of those clubs have deluded themselves into thinking that they are 'more than a club'. It is their club etc.

Makes it even more galling when the majority of supporters/consumers of those clubs are not even from England nevermind from Liverpool or Man Utd.

Deluded simpletons they are and to make it even more annoying I have just listened to 15 minutes of SKY hypocrisy.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Azpi, Dias, 3 United players. I'm glad I'm taking a break next year

But these people today are probably from Manchester and do think and have a right to think it's their club, no?

I suspect looking at Twitter that some of the protestors are from the 'United We Stand' pod, and are totally legit supporters going to every game for decades. If they aren't entitled to have a go then nobody is

Edit: I mean have a go at the Glazers. Not in favour of people lobbing bottles around and being a$$hats

You would think PL would just say it's tomorrow, if they came with decision to postponed it.

Maybe the PL/police etc want this weekend to cool down and play in future weeks

Yeah Id say if it is to go ahead tomorrow the Manchester police would need to mobilse hundreds of more police officers at this late notice to ensure no other protests disturb it. That might not be easy. The police have the final say and they will probably want things to cool off for a few days rather than risking a repeat of the protests tomorrow night.

Ive only Salah in this with Jota on my bench anyway. A rival could get JWP 10 points off the bench as he selected Greenwood. Within the top 10k Salahs and Brunos ownership is huge, this is gonna cause ructions.

If this match isn’t played I go from 7 from 2 to 8 from 7!

Reminds me of the week last year where I’d Aguero triple captain and the second match was never played due to Covid.

Azpilecueta, Holding, Shaw, Bruno, Salah, Jota, Trent.

    Do I win?

6 players in that game - TAA, Shaw, Salah, Bruno, Jota and Greenwood. Sitting at 30k. This is going to ruin my season. Absolutely disgusted.

    Rudiger 0.

    7 players.

Same boat. Also on 7 no scores as things stand.

Need a Coufal hat trick to save my gameweek! :D

Salah, Bruno, Jota, Philips, Holding and Azpi missing out for me but I guess a lot of FPL in similar boats tbh.

Leno, Forster, Rudiger, Shaw, Phillips, Salah, Jota, Bruno! Doh, 14k, probably drop to 30k or so

I sold Bale for their blank. The fear is real

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,808 ✭✭✭✭siblers

I'd imagine there will be some amount of Kane vice captainers coming in for Salah or Bruno

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,218 ✭✭✭Islander13

I have 11 players. Am I allowed to be quietly a bit smug?

Got rid of Son for Jota before the spurs blank. Could be a season defining move

Not going for Son in, Bruno out will most likely sting tonight.

Will have 9 for the week, 2 points coming off the bench from 2.

Majority in the same boat I guess.

I think the kinds of teams who captained those while owning Kane, probably aren’t of much fear to us in the runin.

    Try this on for size:

TAA, Shaw, Salah, Fernandes, Jota, Holding and Masuaku PLUS a -8.

Pre-GW I was 4k, my season is ruined now.

'Probably' - but the reality is the support of both of these clubs success is based on being worldwide brands, with worldwide support.

Of course people have the right to protest,

But these type of clubs have decimated football in Ireland for years as they have hoovered up players and then spit them out, when they did not make the cut.

Personally I think the protests are bollocks really. They will achieve nothing.

    Just noise.

It could spread now when others think they have a 'cause' some sort of 'meaning'. FPL season over game over.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Yeah even though I have Kane. I need him to fairly quiet. I captained the form player Iheanacho.

Trent, Jota, Salah, Bruno, Shaw, Rudiger; started at 1.7k. Best season in years left in ****e

    But yours is worse tbf

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

I just saw my rival has no Liverpool or United players, and me with 3. Ha ha ha ha ha

The match day team sheets were handed in, does that mean that those are the players that have to start the game or can the team sheets be changed?
