A Fred / McT double pivot with Pogba further forward in a game against a non top tier PL side is a bit of a surprise.

Curious to see if it works or backfires.

Would prefer not to see Rashford start on the right if coming back from an injury.

Would prefer not to see him on the right at all to be fair.

I'd imagine he's playing through the middle with Greenwood/Pogba either side. At least that seems to be the positions those 3 are most suited to playing together.

We’re unlikely to win the league, but it’s possible, so we need to keep plugging away.

That looks like more of a diamond set-up to me, and maybe with Pogba at the tip of it... He has been getting into some old school CF positions in the last few games so he could be the most advanced of the mids.

Rashford and Greenwood up top but Pogba to play 9 at times.

I'm guessing it'll be similar to the Spurs game with Greenwood in place of Cavani.

As with that game I expect the "front 4" to be pretty fluid and a little narrow.

I imagine he'd be on the left tip of the diamond if it is one.

Would still like to see another attempt at Donny, Bruno and Pogba playing together in a diamond type formation, but would require a serious holding player at the base of the diamond which we don't have. A one and a half players type player like Kante would do it.

I think the diamond has some merit with Scotty on the right and Pogba on the left though, it's probably Pogba's best position and where you'd get the most consistent performances from him. He was talking in his interview about the chopping and changing of his position and role and how'd he like a settled spot to develop and be more consistent in.

Comfortable win would be great today, 3-0 with a Greenwood brace would do it!

Absolutely no need for him to come for that!

Good purposeful opening exchanges after the early fright.

Very flat really, no movement. Bruno could do without the several little hissy fits with team mates, especially when he's well below par himself.

That's not the way the bookies see it, outside of Us and city, they're favourite for top 4.

Bookies shorten odds on heavily backed teams to reduce their potential loss. That just reflects the amount of money Liverpool fans are wagering. Odds have a relationship with probabilities, but are not the same thing as probabilities.

I'm raptured by the joy of it all.

Nearly feels like the better Pogba plays the worse Bruno gets. And when I say worse, I mean relative to the savage standard he set.

"A good learning for Mason Greenwood"

    Thanks for that, Borat Neville...

So, United have signed up to join a breakaway European Super League?

And they’re being threatened with expulsion from the Premier League?

    Well that escalated quickly...

It would be nice to get 2nd and finish only a few points off the top to use as motivation for next season. As opposed to finishing 11+ points back.

it would be used as an excuse by the glazers not to spend much money in the summer

I was surprised it wasn’t looked at. He’s entitled to go for it but looked to me like he caught Henderson with both sets of studs.

Yeah, shouldn't have said anything, I thought they had started with a bit more purpose and movement than usual, but then it just fizzled out.

Would you guys be open to Icardi if Cavani cant be convinced to stay? The money required to get Haaland or Kane will be too much especially when needs are greater in other areas.
    icardi is still only 28

Burnley such a horrible team to play against. Chris Wood up front doesn’t know if he’s playing football or rugby. They’ve got 10 behind the ball most of the time
