Discipline is going to kill Munster here

    That's likely the game.

Beirne's departure has really turned this game. Munster don't have much threat at poaching from the breakdown now. Cronin is a bit of a penalty machine and it showed there.

Gone tits up for Munster in the last 10 minutes.

Not a great cameo at hooker for Tiger Developer Johnny Ronan.

It was Scannell, not Cronin, who gave that away. Cronin was the one poaching.

Munster have just gone so flat in the last 10-15 mins.

    Knock on I think.

Very hard to tell if it's his hand or his head

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,789 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Looks like it came of Holland first and then off a Toulouse hand.

Toulouse have owned the ball and territory since their try.

    Knock on.

    That had to be forward

Very hard to call. Can't overrule without clear evidence

    Going to give it

Don't envy the officials here is very tough to see what happened. Imo if it's this hard to tell you give the try.

    Fair enough.

Don't think there was enough evidence to say it definitely came off a Toulouse hand.

    Both times it looks forward

That's clearly off the hand on to the head, I thought.

Those two angles are showing completely different sequences

Replacements were the big difference here, Toulouse just completely dominated after subs came on and Munster's discipline just went awol.

    That was a knock on
Hand to head clear as day in real time

I don't think that went backwards.

Clearly is a bit of a stretch. Tough call but right call for me with the evidence that was available.

Initially thought knock on but think it was back off the arm and then forward off the head.

Just about. Thought Munster looked very good at points but Ntamack and Dupont is like a cheat code. Has to be the best 9/10 for any team in Europe.

I think that's it for me. It's so tight and inconclusive you have to stick with the onfield decision / give the benefit of the doubt to the attacking team.

Pity, it pretty much takes a comeback off the cards.
