I find that I can dominate possession but all the opposition are doing is playing 5 at the back, not moving and just waiting for me to charge out of position and exploit me on the break. The only way to combat it is to play slow and not get drawn out but that is very boring - I just want to get stuck in, get upfield as quickly as possible and score some goals. I can do the latter ok but invariably will concede more than I score lol

I would have always played possession-ball but with so many 5atbs sitting deep enough and defending with a kante-type on top of that I've changed to much more quick tempo. I'm also using haaland up front, I'd say nearly half of my goals are headers, no one defends them or the cross and loads of small fullbacks in the middle at the moment at the meta. Caveat that with I'm sh/te playing in ~div5 and only played a few WLs this year (always G3).

Ooh I’d be tempted by sanches too, a nice link from mbappe potm (if I do it) to Bruno potm.

I should be able to do 2 big sbc’s with the fodder I have but holding off until Friday to see

What sbc’s we get daily (bailly would interest me a lot, and sanches)
Do we get anymore icon sbc’s Thursday
Does Messi get a second potm friday (these are usually announced on Friday but as it’s Good Friday, la liga might not announce it)

At the moment I’m going to do mbappe and makelele but that could all change

I seen people mentioning Bakayoko as a potential card too, but can’t remember what FIFA it’s supposed to be for. I’d be tempted by either of them anyway - Vidal, Sanches, Bakayoko. Some great midfielders to slot into my team.

Don't know if you'd be interested in a defender, but Base Vidic has been really good for me.

I'm at the stage now where I'm probably going to be looking to improve on him but I've been using him since the last set of Icon Swaps and he's definitely done his job.

He always seems to be in the right place at the right time and the ball sticks to him in tackles. If you play a low depth he's ideal.

Around 250k on the market at the moment. His base is better than the mid as it has a bit more pace.

Huh. Messing round with squad battles, and pressed RB by mistake at kickoff....which turns a one man kick off into a two man kick off.

It also does it by having the second man charge into the circle at full sprint, and you can start the kick off with a pass, so the second player receives the pass at full sprint while the other team are still in the kick off waiting animations.

I’m both surprised I’ve never seen anyone call the second man before, and wondering if it’s something that can be utilised a bit...

Playing for swaps there and couldn’t play on as had to take a call, so pulled out the keeper to let the other fella have the win before I quit... and he goes on a long celebration, that sleeping one ffs :pac: I just don’t get some players at all. Only for I had a call, I would’ve played on full sweat.

Swaps have been a grind. Got the Bundesliga long shots completed first because it's the most difficult.

Seems the majority of players don't seem to do golden goal unless it suits them. Generally if I score first, they play on. If they score first, they queue up a pause. The FIFA community being the FIFA community I guess.

Also conceded this....what exactly is my keeper even trying to do? :pac::pac::pac:

Right, cause I know that Bailey is coming, I want to get fodder. So am going for the 82x25 pack, and the mid/prime icon.

Icon wise, I already have....butra, Zola, VDS, Hernandez, Keane. So five to avoid, and I’d say a solid, what, seventy other options? Preferably not a keeper, either, cause I don’t need two.

So, let’s see who we get...

You know this only works in SBs. You can't do it in any online game mode.

Wayne Hennessy 13.5k PL 81 rated IF - next highest 81 IF from the PL is Ollie Watkins for 29k. No brainer, even tho he’s a GK with bad links.

Edit: and futwatch tweeted that there’s a party bag in the code like an hour or so after I posted this and Hennessy is gone up to 18k

easy profit. I was going to suggest Aurier too at 23k was a good price... he’s now shot up to 30k.

Managed to grab about 30 of him at 16-17k. Will be easy profit once the party bag drops. Even if it’s a week or two off, should be able to make 400k from that investment back without too much hassle.

Think they've increased the price ranges from 30k up to 50k as well

Packs from the above and Rivals were very good fodder to be fair.

Hazard (88), TOTW Shaqiri (84), Skriniar (85) and a handful of 84's such as Grimaldo, Saul, Isco, Arthur and Witsel.

That's north of 200k worth of fodder so I can't complain at all.

I was actually surprised he was available for 13.5k given the recent IF prices.. must make a mental note too to just automatically pick up 84 IFs if they’re 20k. A good example is Mario Fernandes the Russian RB, sitting at 22-23k now selling for 33k after just one tweet from futwatch :pac:

Bought about 30 of those Montipos for 12.5k and a few Shaqiris for 28k last night, should have bought more Shaqiris as he seemed way underpriced.

You couldn't make this up, I decided to use the Dubravka in an SBC to get the other one into my club and did the 86+ x2 SBC. Out pops Duplicate untradeable FUT Birthday Sambia.
