Good post and to follow on that point. If they were in charge of road accidents they would just ban cars outright.

    Are car crashes infectious?

Keep an idea out for it.

I'll still be tuning in for the GAA mind.

No but trampolines are highly infectious.

If I crash into you, I've infected you with a crash.

I've watched every single announcement live since Leo last March but for the first time I've no interest in what Martin has to say tonight. It's of no consequence to me. They don't listen to us, why should I anger myself by listening to them? It's all been leaked anyway i suppose.

I'll make my own mind from here. I've been on board all the way and for the most part really still am. But the lack of practical thinking/living in the real world, the lack of hope has led me to make my own mind up on this from now on within the boundaries of still observing 90% of rules (most are admittedly unavoidable).

Would you be open to explaining how 130'000 deaths equates to "playing a Blinder"?

I am not equating deaths with 'playing a blinder'.

I am praising their vaccination programme. 50 per 100 vaccinated. We are 15 per 100.

Hopefully we will catch up - and maybe with their help.

In the meantime, we are waiting while their death rates are plummeting.

"Two fully vaccinated people can meet indoors from April 12"

It is frightening how out of touch this government are with the real world. Surely they know this is happening all over the country already, they have to know.

    Not this again

I am picking him up and driving him to the ****ing beach if he says that one more time.

Shouldn't even be discussed like wtf. Does they vaccines work or not? People seeing this are going to start asking sure what's the benefit of getting the vaccine if it doesn't change anything.

So you can't sit inside or outside a cafe until May at least, unless you are in a HSE run facility in which case you have a full menu to order off and sit indoors out of the cold.

Anybody still obeying these farcical restrictions should be free to continue doing so...but everyone should ignore them if only for your own mental health, meet people, socialise, play sport where you can.

The young fellas out my way have been playing organised matches against each other, full teams, full pitches multiple teams all organised by themselves...I have to say, I am proud of them!

Two fully vaccinated people can meet in doors once 'allowed'. Yep definitely not going on at the minute in larger groups and among the unvaccinated.

Does three vaccinated people in a room negate the vaccine and all become at risk again?

Spot on Bridge93. I mean, I'd go for a coffee in a cafe or get a book from a bookshop if it was allowed, but it's not, so I've no choice but to adhere to that.

But I've got my own timeline for the lifting of restrictions (at least what is in my power) now, because the government have lost me.

In April I'll be visiting my parents. I'll be visiting my family. I will lie to Gardai if I have to. We'll be getting builders into our house.

In May, if hairdressers aren't open straight away, I'll get my hairdresser to do a nixer. I'll allow my kids to have playdates indoors.

In June, I am going on holidays, whether that is the Republic or the North will depend on restrictions, but either way I'm going to go.

I'm done. Frankly I'm flabbergasted that we all made it this far. Well done me, and well done us. But I'm done.

Not if they have a €9 meal each and it's documented....

Or if they meet in a HSE run cafe...there no one cares.

They lost a lot of adherence a back in Feb when they extended the lock down to April 5th....you can see it every where you go....throngs of people are packing city centres and town centres on nice days.

They will lose a load more now the evening are longer and the weather improves.

Most people who haven't been indocrinated can see the seasonal factor in the virus...the danger has long passed....and it wasn't too dangerous to begin with certainly not in proportion with the risk.

"Two fully vaccinated people can meet indoors from April 12"

    I'm seeing slightly different reports
The Cabinet is considering a proposal that from 12 April, people who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 can meet other fully vaccinated people indoors.

They must be from only one other household and it must be two weeks after the second dose is received.

In what ****ing world is GAA allowed back before golf and tennis. It has absolutely nothing to do with science or safety.

Optics all the way, which sums up how the entire mess is being handled.

Kinda funny how Martin's son is an inter county GAA player.
