I had ALGO for a while but it just goes sideways so I got rid of it. Great project no doubt but this bullrun might not be it's time to shine.

if you like the project and it goes sideways, why not just buy a little every now & again and lock it away?

Especially when you can stake it @ 7.2% on Atomic Wallet

I will in the next bear market. But there can be no time for non runners right now.

I shall peer into my crystal ball
Theta will top out in two weeks
then a slow bleed back to $5-6 range
compare viewer and view count on theta.tv to twitch.tv

so we should expect you to open up a nice big short on the day you think it will top out and show the forum and put your money where your crystal ball is

That's down to the token release from the Algorand team.. I agree the tokenomics isn't ideal in a bull market. But I think you'll start to notice a uptrend from here on out if market conditions remain

Has a long long way to go to get there. Crazy how a lot of altcoins are still at 10% of the price now when compared to the altcoin frenzy of 2017/18.

even if it gets to 50% of it, it will be nearly a 2x

I just retrieved nearly $5k of a *shít* coin from an old Trezor account. The coin is $SOAR. I had bought less than $100 worth of it when I was messing around with Uniswap to try it out and had transferred it to my Trezor. About three months ago, I reset my Trezor as I thought my seed may have been compromised. I transferred all my assets from it first, but missed out on the $SOAR and another one called $OAX as they didn't list in the app. I remembered the $OAX today when going through my transaction history on Binance. I clicked on the withdrawal address, and couldn't believe it when I saw that there was almost $5k on it. Saw that it was mainly $SOAR and was about to cry, when I remembered that I had given my nephew the 24 words for safekeeping. I called him and he still had it. I didn't want to want to wipe the Trezor in case I had trouble restoring my current wallet, so I messed around with a few software wallets and was able to restore to Metamask with just the 24 words. I transferred to my main Metamask account and swapped the bulk of it for $LINK, keeping about 10% in $SOAR and threw the nephew 15 $LINK. Happy days!

Haha, it rose 20% overnight as soon as I swapped it out! It was also a lot higher 10 days ago. I'm not going to complain though. Was as good as free money. If I had known I had it, I definitely would have been taking profits along the way and would only have made about $1k.

Happened me with the uniswap airdrop. Didn't hear about it, when I did it was worth about 5k. Still have em :)

That's the truth. Forgetting you even have crypto is sometimes the best approach. Sometimes.

PayPal are enabling fiat payment from the user’s crypto balance today (US only): https://www.theverge.com/2021/3/30/22357246/paypal-buy-with-bitcoin-litecoin-ethereum-crypto-checkout

Definitely good news in terms of removing friction and making it more mainstream (although it is a shame that PayPal crypto holdings are otherwise in a silo).

If this becomes popular though, I think either the industry will need to implement automated tax calculation software on a large scale or the US government needs to change CGT rules for crypto (as it stands, each payment would trigger a CGT liability as crypto is being disposed of).

You could say this for 90% of investors. A lot of the time the art of doing nothing pays off. It's a skill to not constantly check and then react to price changes.

I'll bet more has been lost by people using hard wallets than has been saved by them.

The problem is we will never have any stats to back it up one way or another, but I tend to agree.

Losses due to custodian failures are in everyone's mimd because they are black swan type of events (i.e. quite rare and with a large impact) and are easy to keep track of.

While every day there must people losing access to their crypto because they didn't manage their seed key properly, but since those are recurrent events which only impact one person at a time and are not made public, they are being underestimated.

Have you claimed your free UNI from Uniswap? If you used it prior to late October and haven't claimed it yet you could be in for another nice windfall!

    Nice!

You can say $SOAR is very well named from your perspective.

Yeah, I got that from a precious uniswap buy. I sold half at $7 and the rest for a bit less.

The token that shall not be named is part of it, soon the doubters will become believers
Picked up some more of the Token that shall not be named yesterday, Spidey sense is telling me something BIG is coming

I'm confused, it's a stablecoin, it'll only ever be pegged against a dollar!

He's talking about $LINK. He believes, (as do I), that Chainlink will be central to a large most of these transactions and that it's value will start to increase greatly in the medium to long term.

No one knows if Tether has the assets to back up USTD, PAXOS and other stable coins will be using the token that will not be named to verify that their stable coin is backed by real world assets.

Here is Adelyn Zhou giving a good write up on NFTs and the large part TTTWNBN will play in the next step for them.
    https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/the-next-wave-of-nfts-will-be-dynamic-2021-03-29

TTTWNBN has over 400 partnerships and integrations that grows daily, it is probably quietly working away in the background of your favourite crypto, it has no rivals unlike practically every other crypto, its so far ahead it is unlikely to be ever have competition in any serious way, its in a league of it own.

noobish question , i have ill gotten BNB on metamask that i want to get back to Binance account, but confused as binance has a bep20 or a bep2 option , the bep2 deposit requires an address and a note , bep20 only address. problem is metamask only looks for an address to withdraw??

I presume the bnb is on the binance smart chain on your metamask. Then the bep20 should work. Someone else might confirm here but that's what I did when I was bringing it back from pcs

Its definitely BEP20. I have done this myself in both directions. However if in doubt send a small amount first.

irish_rat and skyster, thanks both. It was bep20 and worked a charm.

At what stage or investment do some of you think one should start looking at extra safety?

Isve got a small amount in Binance and slightly more in Revolut (as I’m still really only starting with Crypto- dipping toes).

I’ve seen some people talk about getting some numbers and some other safe site. Honestly don’t know what that is or how to do it. As it stands the amounts I have invested are in my view play money that I can afford to lose. But it has been rising over the months.
