Heads-up for anyone using Tezor devices (and of course the same scam could be built for Ledger).

There had been fake fake Tezor Apps flying around which collect private keys (even on the App Store): https://cointelegraph.com/news/iphone-user-blames-apple-for-600k-bitcoin-theft-via-fake-app

Of course the guy was a bit stupid as he probably did input his seed phrase into the App which goes against any safety rule (a genuine Tezor App would never request the user to do this). But this shows that education is needed before anyone goes the self-custody route.

If this becomes popular though, I think either the industry will need to implement automated tax calculation software on a large scale or the US government needs to change CGT rules for crypto (as it stands, each payment would trigger a CGT liability as crypto is being disposed of).

Some of the pro crypto politicians in the US have mentioned that this will have to change. It's a logical next step to make such CGT rules sane.

He's talking about $LINK. He believes, (as do I), that Chainlink will be central to a large most of these transactions and that it's value will start to increase greatly in the medium to long term.

When are people going to get over the idea of expecting price appreciation in a token which they expect will be used wholesale for transactions? The only thing suitable for transactions at scale is something with a static value and which is low cost.

Bitcoin flirting with all time high. April is traditionally a good month for Bitcoin so I think it will break it over the next few days

In the most simplistic way possible to understand.
You send $100 through Chainlink, the transaction fails and you loose your $100, you will be compensated with Chainlink Tokens, $25 each so will will receive 4 tokens, convert to cash and you lost nothing,
The Chainlink network will have to be worth as much as the transactions passing through it, hence Citi Bank stating it could be worth more than BTC one day.
In February 2021, SWIFT recorded an average of 42.3 million transactions per day.
    Who Uses SWIFT?
    • Banks
    • Brokerage Institutes and Trading Houses
    • Securities Dealers
    • Asset Management Companies
    • Clearing Houses
    • Depositories
    • Exchanges
    • Corporate Business Houses
    • Treasury Market Participants and Service Providers
    • Foreign Exchange and Money Brokers

These transactions are worth mega money, if all goes to plan, Chainlink will be doing all this amongst other things

Anyone seeing the London Real Hype on Teeka Tiwari "next trillion dollar coin"? It's an add on every YouTube video I'm watching the last few days.

I've no idea who he is and I'm not getting hyped up over it but others might so could be a cheeky gamble to make funds to put on other coins.

    Anyone thinking the same?

At what stage or investment do some of you think one should start looking at extra safety?

Isve got a small amount in Binance and slightly more in Revolut (as I’m still really only starting with Crypto- dipping toes).

I’ve seen some people talk about getting some numbers and some other safe site. Honestly don’t know what that is or how to do it. As it stands the amounts I have invested are in my view play money that I can afford to lose. But it has been rising over the months.

When was the last time a Tier 1 exchange got hacked and customers lost funds due to the hack?
If the withdraw fees are cheap take it of exchange and if fees are expensive, leave it on exchange.
If you dont like leaving on exchange, just trade in tokens with cheap withdraw fees, plenty of them, either way i dont worry about it, too much money pouring into crypto for exchanges to put the hack losses on customers, people would just desert to another exchange in a heart beat.
If you have a wallet set up , just put the passwords in a password manager, zero chance of loosing it that way, just make the master password complex and only you know it, install on several PCs or phones, for extra peace of mind.
    https://www.techradar.com/uk/best/password-manager
I think some posters are over complicating it all, you dont freak out this much about your bank details or credit card, just be sensible and nothing bad will happen.

The literal definition of a pump and dump.

Bigs the event up on videos. Front runs all the pleb attendees / viewers.

Names the coin. Everyone buys it.

    He dumps it.

    Bye bye.

I know these aren't solid projects you get on and hold. But they aren't bad for a gamble if you're low on funds to invest in good coins.

I made about 800 on Safemoon and putting that into Akash and staking it on Bitmax. Unfortunately that's the only way I can fund investments for now :o

Sluggish price action tonight. Wonder if it is those options expiring on Friday and how much damage they can do.

Ethereum waking up from its coma.

Would be nice to see it consolidate above 2k and then go a bit mad

What's the consensus on staking ethereum? Are many doing it on an exchange or otherwise?

I feel like doing it just to stop me from touching my bag.

    Future is bright.

Delighted for you eth heads today despite being a toxic maxi.

So all projects running on Polkadot and Kusama who require an Oracle will be using Chainlink, this is huge news.
If not holding LINK why not, would genuinely like to know your reasoning, beside hating money i cant think of any.

Unfortunately "will" is optional not mandatory, so it is just another choice should Dot devs choose to avail of it. Positive move though.

When you build your project to run on the POLKADOT platform, you can go your own way or choose the oracle approved by POLKADOT, with their technical support, i don't see many going their own way, do you?
