It depends on the car when it was last updated.

Single crewed playlists for you 😂

I have an active mobility device...a phone... it does connect to the Hyundai but only as far as android auto. So google maps, Spotify (for nights) and phone calls but the interior car speaker is connected to tetra so can’t speak on calls only listen.. great thinking.

I sent active mobility section an email just enquiring into possibly having a screen mirror Type system. Where as anpr/vehicle checks show on the in car screen. So being able to do anyway with 3rd party anpr screens but they didn’t bite

Needs updating, it’s not syncing correctly

The boss and I shared a car back from the far end of west cork and she had issues with my playlist. She found the live (24 minute with the synthesised whale noises) version of Pink Floyd's Echoes a bit weird. Up to then we had her playlist of mostly culchie music. Songs about baling hay and that kinda nonsense. Music people in Tullamore listen to.
However she soon fell asleep. Job done.

😂 long road in west cork

    Haven't seen a V6 in a long time....

Loved the zetec s in red with the 17" alloys, they looked the bizz
That ZETEC S was treated like a baby, always polished up any time I saw it. Wonder if he's got one of the Vignale ones now?

Yes it was probably the cleanest Garda service vehicle I've ever seen.

Saw a video of an unmarked Audi S3 saloon doing the rounds on whatsapp. Anyone know if its an official garda car? Cool looking thing

Probably a seizure put into the fleet.

That’s what I’ve been told, it’s not the regular S3 exhaust

They tried Audi A6 and A8 officially in the early 2000s, as potential patrol cars but nothing came of it. They didn't meet test criteria. In a running brake test they veered widely off course. The Driving school had one for a while after. I think a few ended up in the ministerial pool.

A8 were widely used for that EU thing back in 2004....

There have been a few Audi bought and in service, unmarked.

Seeing as there's two fire engines in the background of the video, I would say it's the personal car of someone in the fire brigade. Some ranks can have blue lights fitted to their own car.

I don't think any Fire Officer would want something so obvious on the rear.

And it looks like a fit out garage rather than a fire station. Looks to be a couple of white pick ups in rear of the video.

Spotted the unmarked S3 with the blue lights on pulling a pickup over today. Looks like it had a lot more blue lights than an usual unmarked car would have. It had the lights all around the reg plate so very evident even if the blue lights aren't on.

Have to say It's a beautiful car in that dark blue colour. The garda do need a few of the higher powered motor's as the current hyundai diesel's don't do the job if they are in pursuit of a high powered car. Similar to the move in the UK with unmarked BMW Mi140/Audi Rs3/Golf R.

45 minute video about fireys and all you notice is a truckers hat?

In all honesty, I flicked through about 2 minutes of it and found it too annoying but between the hat, long hair, pretty poor looking hygiene and the camera work I bailed!

Nice bit of information in relation to the PSNI land rovers. Roughly €100,000 a piece. https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/577421/response/1404040/attach/html/3/01198%20FOI%20Response.pdf.html

I was only looking at some of the online articles this morning and was thinking what a fantastic all round vehicle they are. The bigger question is what do you replaced them with now they are dis-continued.

    Saw that in the article

The final example – a marked sedan attached to Surry Hills highway patrol near the Sydney CBD – handed in its stripes on 31 March 2021 after clocking up 86,156km over four years.

HA! Thats not even run in yet. They should have talked to the Irish lads!
