Team looks strong so might bring in a playing second keeper and bench boost. Currently have lingard, Cresswell and Lowton on the bench so may finally use the chip up.

Using the wildcard, something to play with over the break. Chelsea players coming in.

Too much rotation at Chelsea for me.

Looking at BB too, have McCarthy as 2nd keeper who I'll have to replace though.

Had planned on bringing in KDB for BTraore since offloading Salah and Cancello over the last few weeks but not so sure now with the danger of rotation. He might still get more points than the other options even if not playing every game.

Thinking Mount or Havertz in for Trossard after the Brighton experiment this week.

I'm thinking Dunk > Rudiger. Then Raphina > KDB the week after for the Leeds game.

All aboard the Brighton > Chelsea train!

Will see what happens Sunday but thinking of getting off Martinez soon and onto Mendy. Chelseas fixtures are favourable- Brom, Palace and Brighton and theyve already been keeping lots of clean sheets.

Have to think about what to do with KdB, I dont own Bruno at the moment and fear getting burnt by Pep when Bruno hauls. Also want to get Jota in too but will likely leave it another week till his fixture v Arsenal is over. After that Liverpool spend the remainder of the season playing bottom half clubs in 6 of their final 8 games, think Jota could make hay there.

Hard to commit to one of their attackers alright. Defender may be the best option

Have Mahrez and KDB but with the league over I'll be going with one city at most now

Was considering similar until Michael Keane was benched tonight against City. Can I trust that he’ll be back in the league?

Odegaard is looking dangerous in this game. Have him in my FH team and while he has no returns yet, it looks like he will get them.

Iheanacho looking almost essential at this stage. Wonder have I already missed the boat. He’ll start every game from now until seasons end and looks far more dangerous than vardy. Think I’ll bring him in for Watkins

Was just about to post same

Was just thinking the same for a Watkins replacement. Leicesters next fixture is City at home which on the face of it wouldnt look like a great time to get him in. However it is just a few days before Citys CL quarter final first leg v Dortmund so there should be rotation in that City defence so it could be an opportunity for Leicester to get one over on them.

Has there been any news on Harvey Barnes and James Maddison?

Bale back to Salah I'd imagine :)

Villa have a DGW to be announced, could be in the next few weeks

2 weeks to mull it over with internatioansl, but I'll most likely bench boost. Full squad of lovely fixtures.

Son is the only doubtful currently.

Looking forward to another 6 yellow flags coming back from international duty

Iheanacho at 5.7m must be the most in form striker at the moment - going back to city he might feel like having something to prove...

Been a while since I've done a rage transfer but Bale out, Mount in.

I need a Dier replacement. I've got Konsa (AVL), Veltman (BHA), Ruedigar (CHE), Dallas (LEE) as well as him.

Any suggestions? I have €9M in the bank so money no object really. Is Dias still going to play almost every game I wonder?

Had forgotten about that. Will wait till the deadline but I still think Ill go Martinez to Mendy regardless, can see Chelsea with a very good chance of getting 3 clean sheets v Brom, Palace, Brighton but couldnt say the same for Villa with Fulham, Liverpool, City. Villas run in is pretty tough after that too, its mainly top half of the table teams. At least the international break is coming at a good time for them as theyre struggling without Grealish.

His miss there 3 seasons ago still haunts me.

Holding seems to have lost his place and needs to go as the danger of rotation means I need more options in defense. Rudiger due to rise in price tonight so bringing him in as the replacement.

I think its not going to be till week 33 at the earliest.

In 30 and 31 Everton are playing Monday night so unlikely to be either midweek

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,688 ✭✭✭✭Muahahaha

What are Lingard owners thinking of doing with him, stick or twist? Id only intended him for the blank gameweek and then a move to Jota but jesus Jesse really is in cracking form.

I remember him (deliberately?) missing a sitter in 2018 to ensure Liverpool didnt win the league in the Kompany goal game so he's still got a soft spot for them

If he want to make the Euro's he'll have to keep up the form until end of season. West Ham getting the Europe league would be big as well, so plenty of reasons for them to push on and for people to keep him - they are a different team when he plays.

I've no Leeds cover for the Sheffield United game so might do Pereira to Raphinha.

Thinking of bench boosting (still have WC left).

    Currently on this lot...

    Martinez | Nyland

    Stones | Dias | Dallas | Lowton | Coufal

    Raphinha | Gundogan | Bruno | Moura | Lingard

    Kane | DCL | Bamford

If I go BB, it would be Mendy in for Nyland and probably one of the City lads out for someone nailed on (for a hit).

Any thoughts, feedback welcome...I'm keen to get rid of the BB, don't want it to cloud my thinking around the WC

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,688 ✭✭✭✭Muahahaha

Think Stones and Gundogan are the obvious problems with that bench boost. If you replace one of them and hope the other plays then you could get to 15 starters from 15. If you dont win the Pep lottery then its likely to be 14 of 15 which wouldnt be the end of the world either. It could turn into a mess though if Pep rests Dias and your other City player, then its down to 13.

I got off Gundogan and onto Lingard last week, was a difficult decision but looking at Citys fixture pile up felt I felt I had to lose either him or KdB, couldnt risk both of them not starting like happened v Fulham

Yeah I’m likely to wait til post wildcard and moving off City before hitting the BB

Are you wildcarding for 32? The fixtures are saying City have blanks in both 32 and 33, presumably because of the two domestic cups. Their game at home v Leeds in 31 looks attractive but it is sandwiched in between the two CL games v Dortmund, even Dias may not play v Leeds dont mind Gundogan and KdB. Spurs also blank in 33 so more to think about there for Kane/Son/Bale owners.

Wildcarding in 31, potentially bench boosting in 32 but not tied to that idea by any means.

City shouldn’t have a blank in 32 though. That FA Cup postponement is expected to be rescheduled within the same gameweek when they do the TV fixtures.

From Spurs I can’t see myself having more than Kane. They’ll have another false dawn before the season ends but I’ve basically convinced myself at this point that they just aren’t very good.

Yes but only if you have a perfectly good 1st sub.

    A 100% nailed on starter.

Bale being dropped recently must play into this. I wonder if we'll see much more of him til season end.

Given a choice who would people stick with from now till the end of the season- Son or Bruno? Currently on Son who should be back from injury after the break but if I want to get back to Bruno will have to do it tonight before getting priced out of it.

    I'd personally go with Bruno.

In better form of the two, higher ceiling, on set pieces and more focal to United's attack than Son at Spurs.

If possible at all, it'd be best to do it after the internationals as Bruno looks knackered and could affect his output after the intl's.

yeah I think you're right but I'll have to do it tonight due to it only leaving me 0.1m ITB, another price drop on Son and I wont be able to do it.

And yeah the reason I sold Bruno for Son was because he looked knackered in the Europa League first leg v AC Milan and then he had the City fixture (got burnt there with his penalty). It was a rash move selling him for Son in the first place but at least I can reverse it, albeit with the risk of the international break. Im not 100% on owning 2 Spurs anymore, their win v Villa wasnt all that convincing and seemed to be papering up the cracks. I'll hang on to Kane but sell Son to get Bruno back.

Of the options, it's definitely the smarter choice IMO. Fernandes is so heavily owned too, it's a serious rank killer if he returns.

FWIW, Son is only -85.8 to a drop at the moment on FPLS- http://www.fplstatistics.co.uk/

And nowhere near dropping tonight on FFFix - https://www.fantasyfootballfix.com/price/

I think Bruno all day, everyday.
He’s the standout asset, Ole runs them into the ground

I’m reluctant to even get Son, Jose is toxic, who knows what happens there

If you have spurs players tho their next game v Newcastle they are worth holding them for imo

Spurs are top of the form table over the last 5 games.

They lost 3 of their last 5 (City, West Ham, Arsenal).

By my maths they're 16th on the form table over the last 5

They have 12 pts from the last 5 league games. Burnley, Fulham, palace, arsenal and villa.

Sorry you're right. Never noticed before but a site I use shows the form table per the original fixture date (ie didn't include the Villa and Fulham games that were moved)

Probably looking at a Chelsea player for a 1 week punt before WC.
Cancelo to Alonso/James is tempting or Gundogan to Mount is probably the safest
