Yes, in 11 million people. And causality not determined. Why did you miss that part out?
I shared a data update on that 11m, as an interesting extra fact. This here is your need to make a big deal out of it.

    Too early, can't see it.

I'd say they will be shamed/forced in to opening up the country to EU tourism no matter what in June.

You are probably right but looking at the domestic market it will be July and August that will be the busy times so Irish people are planning for later anyways. The cost of hotels and amenities is going to be through the roof so a lot of the staycationers will be annoyed. Sorry to make this about tourism by the way. I am just trying to get a read on the situation and it is nigh impossible given the varying time frames for vaccine roll outs throughout the world. We are no where near where we need to be in my opinion.

Someone needs to word for word ask Leo the questions he asked in October when asking NPHET.

Primarily what is their plan if Level 5 fails to bring cases down to 100 a day.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Any speculation or indication on whether they will open the tourism sector in April?

Id say slim to none chance unfortunately. Could be close to June at the earliest.

All that fake sucking up to Biden for Paddy's Day was pointless.

He's giving extra vaccines to Canada and Mexico after saying America didn't stockpile.

Construction won’t open in April so

May as well be back now from what I can see, big sites even starting to open up around me with skeleton staff on, doing 'essential' jobs.

Bizarre that construction was even closed in the first place.

Figures don't match their county chart if you add up what they have posted this evening it reads 425. Yet it's higher on the chart

156 in Dublin, 23 in Meath, 19 in Donegal, 15 in Louth, 14 in Kildare and the remaining 198 cases are spread across 20 other counties

I have this feeling with the stalling of numbers, they are buttering us up for an extension of Level 5 till at least June.

    They can fcuk off.

    Yeah very strange

Covid-19: No additional deaths, 582 new cases

156 cases were reported in Dublin, 23 in Meath, 19 in Donegal, 15 in Louth, 14 in Kildare and the remaining 198 cases are spread across 20 other counties.

    https://www.rte.ie/news/coronavirus/2021/0318/1204779-covid-figures/

Yet RTE have the same photo as below

Numbers are higher on that chart via twitter. ie Dublin 262, not 156

This provides minutes from the uk press conference. This is how they should be done, the Prime Minister, other relevant government officials and members of SAGE. Not a twice weekly conference with nphet only. We cannot even see the graphs Philip Nolan refers to in his data information on Thursdays.
RTÉ and other websites should also provide the minutes of the press conference, instead of ‘5 takeaways’. It’s too misleading and can be used to misconstrue what nphet officials are actually trying to say, context of question, etc.

    Yeah exactly

The 156 in Dublin, 23 in Meath etc are from the RTE report

Must be from HSE press release as the journal have the same figures in their article

156 in Dublin, 23 in Meath, 19 in Donegal, 15 in Louth, 14 in Kildare and the remaining 198 cases are spread across 20 other counties.

    https://www.thejournal.ie/coronavirus-nphet-18-march-5384630-Mar2021/

Seems nobody bothers to proof read lol

    The chart would make sense

    Dr Ronan Glynn.

There will be things that we can focus on, as we said for the past year outdoors is much safer than indoors and I think over the next couple of month will have to be on outdoors.

Cork, Kilkenny and Leitrim should be allowed open up, all 3 are under the 50 per 100,000 population and deserve some respite for continuing to do the right thing to bring this horrible disease under control.

France now in a lockdown with just schools open. All or Europe really needs the vaccine roll out to increase
