My top 3 have already been mentioned on here
    Gimme Shelter - The Stones
Where The Streets Have No Name - U2
This Must Be The Place - Talking Heads

About 20 years ago Dave Fanning asked the same question and asked people to ring in to chat on air,I rang in and gave the above 3 songs to the researcher. She said Dave's favourite intro is Gimme Shelter and would I go on and chat about it,I did go on had a great chat and was buzzing afterwards!

That's what I'd do if I wanted to be a hero! It's okay though, I'll do it if I can. It's a great idea.
