Going to be vaccine shortages in UK from 29th expected to last for the month of April . Probably with AstraZeneca I believe . A Tory MP just said certain areas of the economy will be unable to open or fully against the current roadmap because the vaccine supply issue.

Tomorrow's deaths will have a minimum of 1.
And a decrease of 1 on ICU tonight.
My mams friend has died at 5pm.
Was healthy no underlying issues. In 70s.
    Caught Covid 1 month ago.
Then Pneumonia and was then admitted to ICU.
Lungs were destroyed. Every other organ were healthy.

Tomorrow should be low with GPs closed today

That will come out in fridays numbers, not tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s numbers are today’s results, which are yesterday’s referrals (mostly)

So UK plan that so many were praising them for ,not going to plan shall we say, while at the same time moaning about our crowd for having no plan.
Just goes to show a plan means nothing unless it is carried out.

    Real world data on the 1st vaccine dose shows;

    85% protection against death
    80% protection against hospitalisation
    60% protection against getting Covid-19
30% lower risk of contracting Covid-19 if you live with someone who’s been vaccinated.

Great achievement....its “least one jab” though,so not all fully innoculated...and we have only recently started to push pour second dose out to “up to 12 weeks”,we were going with the “within a month “ for second jab schedule up to very recently,so just a reminder that out numbers would look considerably better if more people had received first jabs(rather then giving people their second jabs within a month)

58 cases in Kildare with a population of 230k. Cork has a population of 570k. Pro rata, Cork should have ca. 143 cases to match Kildare today. It had 10 cases. So pro rata 14 times more cases in Kildare today than Cork. Easy for me to say but time for regional rules.

It is not like a supermarket buying Tomato ketchup you know. These things do not always go to plan.

1000 vaccines done on the 15th...

    8200 vaccines on the 14th...

    Just. Not. Enough.

I had completely forgot the old approach of refusing to tell us where the cases were. What a success that was.

If you were running a pub and kegs were empty how would you serve more pints?

This is a supply issue not a distribution issue.

That is probably all they had though. Do you think there is a vast amount of vaccine laying around and just not being administered?

We're still going with 3-4 weeks for moderna/Pfizer and 12 weeks for AZ. Nothing has changed, that was always the plan/schedule.

Don't be asking me. Ask the HSE :pac:

Previous month they did 12 schools, 322 tested.

Maybe it is considered statistically sound to do this many to rely on the overall positivity rate that results?

    previous month school weren't open

Time for regional restrictions, pretty much all of munster could be in level 3/4

That's not good enough anymore, can't just pass the book, that's 9k vaccines across two days, unacceptable.

Listening to this interesting to see they admit that

"last year no one was classed as a close contact ....... or maybe one person was deemed a close contact"
Hang on... Only FOUR of your classmates are deemed close contacts??
    Jesus wept.

Slight sidenote, but what a ghastly phrase.
