I shall indulge in my standard walk within 5km of my house. Stay local. Stay safe.

    Stay brainwashed. Stay stupid.

Be careful of the traffic. I also saw a wasp the other day. It's deadly out there. Best take no risks.

So you wouldn't fear a 1 in 200 chance of dying of something if you caught it.

Your numbers are wrong though. Fatality percentage is a lot lower than 0.5%

Which just proves his point that getting overly nervous and worried about it doesn't make much sense

Everything in life involves some level of risk.

We need to shut down essential retail next. Too much temptation to buy a few cans.
Christ the cans are becoming akin to "the devils buttermilk"as that Rev Ian paisley thundered about years ago.A journalist should sit in front row of press conference of nphet today and just crack open a can of dutch gold as the drs of doom get started.Shot on spot i suppose would be outcome?

Don’t forget about falling ladders either. Lethal they are.

I've no issues with taking personal risks. It's when the risks people take put other people's health in jeopardy that I have an issue with.

In relation to the virus. It's just selfish.

There’s reports of wasps being more aggressive this year. All anecdotal but best off wearing a beekeepers mask just to be sure.

    Stay safe.

The people going to protest today in Dublin are scum. Stay local and wear a masks. Retards

Scary the amount of people that actually believe this.

And if you go out today you are ACTUALLY RESPONSIBLE for murder, for spreading a deadly killer virus.

I want to get back to normality at some stage. Protests like these don't help

Outdoor protests like these won't do anything with spread, nothing.

Be more worried about this spreading amongst family members in homes where people's guards are down.

Do you believe it's only a "flu" hector? What is the data telling you?

I just don't believe the anti social behaviour by the anti restrictions brigade is helpful. I used to work in mental health and a lot of these protesters when being interviewed, show signs of a personality disorder.

In your view supporting the constitutional right to protest is the same as supporting the firing of fireworks at Gardaí. And now you accuse people of claiming it's just a flu. Very lazy cliches. It's much more nuanced but you don't seem to grasp that.

There is no "brigade", or "side" or and certainly no "far-right" (especially not in this country)

There are however fellow citizens who have just as much right as you to make their views known and protest if they feel it necessary. You don't have to agree with them (I don't particularly agree that BLM protests are relevant here and think that we are just importing social problems from the US and promoting division by doing so), but you don't have a right to attack or stop them from doing that.

There will unfortunately always be those who take advantage of the situation to cause trouble. Those are why we have Gardai and they should be identified and prosecuted accordingly - however, it is a mistake to tar others with that same brush.

    Does that help?

I find their anti vaccine drivel hard to swallow as well. I'm sure you can justify this too. I certainly no matter what the cause would march with anti vaxxers.

The mod snip - no need for that Gardai will also be checking people on public transport.

What has happened to this country ?

Again you are trying to assign the same generic labels and sides to entirely different issues which is a mistake. It's entirely possible for people to agree on one thing but disagree on another.

They should police breaches of restrictions or anti social behaviour if and when it occurs but people have a right to protest.

So...what happens if a protest is a breach of restrictions?

Just heard a news report on the radio that the like of Dublin Bus will be reporting anyone with protest stuff or alcohol to the Gardai so they can be picked up

We are going down a very dark and dangerous path as a society

Oh, yeah the government has made a hames of vaccine roll out. 100% agree on this.

No they haven't. The lack of supply is the problem. The roll out is/was going well.

I work in the HSE (pharmacy specifically). They have made a hames of it. Roll out is about 6 weeks behind what it should be!

Tonight is going to be a huge problem for the Gardai and the government. Even last night I witnessed several households having garden parties and around where I live the amount of people out and about last night would make NPHET pretty uneasy.

Tonight is going to be a bloodbath of problems. Don't be surprised if you hear about disturbances if the Gardai attempt to break up parties or gatherings. The weather is going to be mild again today on top of it all.

OK I doubt everyone doesn't know that there are always a few who will take the mickey.

Doesn’t mean the rest of us have to applaud them

Running at 80% capacity, did I read that right. We could only dream of a figure that low even without covid. They have no restrictions for months and their hospitals are only stretched to 80%. I thought this virus would overwhelm hospitals in a few weeks.
