    575. Not great for a Monday

Great to see it reducing across all age groups. The rate of decrease isn't the same but not a massive discrepancy in the reduction rate.

Here's the percentage difference for the percentage fans out there.

You can really see the vaccine effect in the older groups.

Ok so we don’t know what will be next in line to open up after secondary schools go back.
    That is bizarre.

All we know at the moment is that they're looking at lifting the 5k limit, reopening construction and allowing some form of outdoor gathering. But no details.
The very positive ones think this mean level 4 on or around the 5th of April and some kind of plan to reopen more sectors after.

Sunday and Monday has been low on deaths in the last few weeks. I would see the difference between 0 and 2 as chance.

No mention of the plummeting case numbers in the high risk age groups?

Dr Ray Walley says family meetings are driving infections, and urges people to keep their contacts low. He says one family visited a loved one in hospital who was dying with Covid, and the entire family contracted the virus. | Read more: https://bit.ly/2Njve7W

Last time there was 2 successive days with no reported deaths was December 6th & 7th.

Not surprised about the numbers increasing in younger people. Their mixing and socialising more.

Signs of new outbreaks in Carlow and Tipperary today. Still stubbornly high numbers in Meath, Kildare, Longford, Offaly, Dublin & Westmeath.

High time the regional discrepancies are highlighted. Leitrim, Kerry, Kilkenny, Cork, Cavan, Clare etc are doing things right. Cork has the same restrictions as Offaly and Longford yet has 7 times less incidence. Why is that?

The question regarding local outbreaks absolutely needs to be asked. It's quite clear there's an issue in certain counties in the last week

    Isn't this what viruses do?

They can't munch on over 70s anymore, so they move to the next group of society they can

And then to the next etc

Perhaps it's because Cork and Kerry have a quarter of the fines for breaching restrictions in the country.

    Enforcement is working apparently.

Surely they visited with the permission of the hospital?

To what end? Whackamole style case plumes have appeared all over the Country at different times. Look at Donegal now compared to where it was. Track and trace goes after clusters wherever they are.

Having different Counties at different levels of restrictions, if that's whats being suggested, was a stupid idea last year and its a stupid idea now.
