    How long before

    www.astra-zenica-solicitors-4-u.ie is registered ?

It'll be bombarded by the sort that put missing dog posters from other countries on their Facebook page

That will never be registered because of the spelling mistakes.

Thailands inital batch came from another Asian country their Health minister said when they arrived in the country end of Feb.

"Thailand will also receive 117,000 imported doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine on Wednesday, health minister Anutin Charnvirakul told reporters.

Those were part of the 150,000 "early doses" he had previously said AstraZeneca would provide from another Asian country."

This is ahead of Thailand locally producing the vaccine.

Doesn't look like Thailands doses have come from European facilties in any of the research I've done so couldn't be the same batch.

That would make the situation worse imo as if found to be due to vaccines it would mean the problem with the vaccine is more widespread .

UK regulators don't seem to think so. Let's see what the EMA investigation comes up with during the week.

    MHRA statement moments ago,

"We are aware of the action in Ireland. We are closely reviewing reports but given the large number of doses administered, and the frequency at which blood clots can occur naturally the evidence available does not suggest the vaccine is the cause.

I'll bet your remaining ball that Joe will tell him he sympathises, but can't do anything right now.

I think he'll give him some but a paltry number, 5,000 or something. Or say yes but won't send any over until mid summer.

We need to focus on J&J. One dose means we vaccinate twice as many people in half the time. Lower efficacy when it comes to infections, but significantly reduces deaths and hospitalisation, protecting the health system and allowing faster opening up.

J&J aren't committed to supply us until later in the year.

And I take it you mean twice as many people OR the same number in half the time.

Aren't we meant to get 600k by end of June from J&J

Death figures can’t be trusted at the weekend but good numbers otherwise.
No discharges from hospital at the weekend so going up a few is no issue

A better number to finish the week. Without the swab data I'm not going to read much into it but, still, good to see

I'd imagine today's figures reflect well in the continuing decline of the 7 day average too.

Sometimes you have to treat the COVID statistics like a stock market - zoom out and look at the picture picture.

Also need to know the swabs though before we know if it's good or not. If we see 509 swabs tomorrow for today, it's not ideal.

Don't take false comfort in today's numbers.

They will likely increase tomorrow and Tuesday.

Most of the top 5 or 6 Counties incidence rates have meat plants written all over them.

Numbers ebb and flow throughout the week, but comparing today's numbers to previous Sundays is a valid comparison.

    Plus, its coming down.

So there's certainly comfort to be taken in it.

Did you miss my point about UK having already received different batches to the ones under question ?
    You mist have .
Also the fact that blood clots occur naturally is not the point either . These are previously well healthcare workers who suffered a pretty major thromboembolitic event within days of getting the vaccine , not elderly or vulnerable people .

Look at that amazing run we had in the middle of last Summer. Why didn't Leo/Martin ease some Restrictions then?

There will be poems written about Week 26 someday

    Week 25 - 97

    Week 26 - 67

    Week 27 - 94

And it was a total disgrace.

It demonstrated that NPHET, in terms of handling this pandemic, is not fit for purpose.

It's a tiny sample after millions have had the vaccine. Not buying the 'bad batch' stuff, either, not the first batch made.

More will die if they're not vaccinated, than a tiny percentage who react badly to a vaccine.
