Anyone having issues uploading their docs? When I click on the link PAS sent, it brings me to a folder with my name on it but I can’t click on it or find any way to upload my documents to it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 63 ✭✭Tiafleur

Did anyone else have to upload their docs to a file sharing link? I uploaded mine but there was no button to confirm or deliver them... I sent an email to PAS to confirm delivery but they haven't got back to me. Anyone done this?

How did you upload your docs once you clicked on the link? I can’t find a way to do it. I’ve emailed PAS but the automatic reply said I’d get a response within the next 7 days which will be too late 😓

There should be a space for you to add files from your computer. If not something in your adblocker might be blocking it? If you email PAS about it they should get back to you. Do it sooner rather than later because then there will be a record of you having emailed them and the ball is then in their park to sort you out. I emailed PAS about it and it did take a few days for them to get back to me but they did get back before time was up, so don't stress too much.

I would try to open up the link in a different browser or turn off any extensions running in the background.

Thank you! Unfortunately, when I click on the link, a page opens with a small folder icon with my name on it, a larger blue folder in the centre above which ‘this folder is empty’ is written and on the bottom left ‘0 files selected’ is written. That’s it. Nothing else.

I’ve tried using Firefox and edge and tried accessing it from my phone and iPad but it’s the same on all devices and browsers. Turned off my extensions and checked my pop up blockers too as you suggested but to no avail.

Hopefully, PAS get back to me soon as my deadline for submitting is Wednesday at 3pm :(

Yes same here - I uploaded Friday and emailed asking for confirmation but no reply. I'm sure it'll be grand though.

Sorry I can't be of more help but I'd guess that even if they don't get back to you before the deadline whenever they do they'll hopefully give you more time to send in your docs. If it helps I used Chrome and it worked fine.

These reference forms are so screwy - I've opened them in Word, Pages and Google Docs and they distort all over the shop!

someone's homemade XML mess on the vetting form. Probably listed as a skill on their CV!

Why all of these forms couldn't have been condensed onto one straightforward PDF idk

What agencies are there in Mahon in cork apart from the CSO and Tusla ?

The default text colour of what I enter is red for some reason and its also underline, IDKTK! part of me was thinking theses type of thing are a test but then the more cynical side of me says nah its just PAS.

Also on the candidate declaration form on page 7 there is this section/heading out on its own "Gaps in Employment:", what is this a typo? nothing under it is selectable.

As people above noted, there appear to be formatting problems-amateur hour. I love your paranoia that this could be a covert test-you've gone native, that's proper CS thinking!

PAS got back to me and sent me on a different link which worked perfectly. It seems I was sent a link for PAS employees instead of candidates initially. Luckily, I got the docs uploaded yesterday evening and well before the deadline.

Thanks so much for your help!

I’m not a TCO newbie so I’m well aware of “the system”. What does annoy me about this type of thing is when PAS then turn around and tell me that I’m apparently not good enough to merit a full time placement because a Byzantine application process has proven it, who operates the process PAS, ffs

As I far as I know it’s only the CSO, have you been called ?

That would be an ecumenical matter. ;)

I've just been sent an "expression of interest" email for a 6 month post that starts on 1 June in my county. However I live in a huge county and this post is 50km away which would mean a round trip of 100km a day....... on a TCO salary. My diesel would be about €60 a week which would bring my weekly income down to about €337 (based on €397 I was paid last year as a TCO ) At the moment I am on PUP.
My last TCO position last year was only 15 minutes away and my travelling expenses were lower so it made sense but even then the money isn't great for a full time position.

If I don't reply to this "expression of interest" email am I off the panel? It doesn't make it clear. It just says if I wish to be considered for this post I need to reply by Friday.

I assume the email is from PAS so No, an expression of interest is different to an offer.

Someone said before that PAS send expressions of interest emails if the position is outside the main urban centre/s of the county, but if your not sure - you could also reply and tell them your not interested as its 50km from your home.

They will usual allow one decline if the position is more than 45km from your home.

that's a great help Mike, I'll email them.

(yes my contract last year and an offer of a contract 2 years ago were both by phone and were actual offers rather than expression of interest..... that's why I was confused)

No. That not how EOI works. If you don't want the job, say nothing. You will stay on the panel.

I just got an expression of interest email for the HSE covid vaccination clinics in Dublin. I need to respond by Friday but it doesn't specify where it's going to be. I don't have access to a car so I'd be relying on the bus. Anyone know anything about this position?

I don’t know anything about the job but I will just save you getting a bunch of repetitive answers by saying the HSE are a different agency and not associated with this TCO campaign.

Just out of interest where were/are those positions advertised the HSE almost seem to not want people to apply for things.

I applied for contract tracing down here before Xmas-advertised through an employment agency. Was told "O love to have you with your experience but HSE has hired 30 total and you are applicant 31". BS?

I received an email about this as well. It’s sent through CpL healthcare and it seems to be connected to the ‘on call for Ireland’ campaign that the government launched last year in the early days of the pandemic. They are recruiting for all counties it seems and you upload your documents as part of the application form. As I’m waiting on police clearance from Spain, I couldn’t proceed with the application.

My expression of interest email was also HSE (Payroll). It came through PAS and not CPL healthcare. I was surprised myself as I thought the HSE were a different agency and didn't recruit through PAS?

I got sent an expression of interest email as well today.

Mine was sent by the clearance team from PAS and have to contact them back if interested and will be removed from the TCO campaign if I express intertest by tomorrow’s deadline.

The one I was sent is an admin job in the vaccination centres, doesn’t specify any location just Dublin.

Trying to weigh up the possible pros and cons at the moment.

Seems a bit unfair to me to remove people for expressing interest.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. Its hard when you don't know whereabouts it is either.(100km round trip every day).
I'm definitely not expressing interest in the offer I got as its over 50km away so I should be staying on the panel.
