He is also taking at dig at Republicans - perpetuating the stereotype that they are all stupid.

Average IQ among Republican voters is higher than Democrats.

Ending the mask requirements is stupid.
    It simply is.

Any evidence on your second statement?
Because the crowd storming the Capitol didn’t look like professors.

People who are refusing to wear masks are stupid (unless they have a condition that prevents it). Neanderthal is probably a nicer way of putting it.

But here you are, again, holding the current president to account for doing his job correctly, the hypocrisy here knows no bounds.

Have we decided if this is on the beige suit level of outrage yet? Maybe selfie camera?

    Not saying anything about masks.

You know exactly how it would be spun if Trump said it.

There was no need to spin anything he said.

This is the thing Trump supporters always do - they blame the fact that he was purposefully misinterpreted. If people didn't like Trump, well that is because the fake news portrayed him in a particular way!

That was not the case. People knew he was horrible from what came out of his mouth because they saw it in real time. They read his tweets in real time.

We see he is horrible. We see he is incompetent. We aren't brainwashed! We don't need CNN or anyone else to put a negative slant on him.

But here we are again. Trump, always the victim.

Elect a clown... Expect a circus

What if he used the word monkey?

    he didn't.

Good summary of Trumps tactics, even though it was written in 2017

    he didn't.

Look, I am not outraged one bit. I am just highlighting the fact that if Trump said exactly the same words many would be.

You think using the term neanderthal in relation to politicians and idiots actively hampering health policy during a global pandemic that has killed over 400k people in the US alone is akin to racism? Your what if scenario is pretty ignorant...

Yes you are... You've actively ignored the context and likening it to racism..

No. What I am highlighting is the absolute hypocrisy of people. They hold the one they support to a much lower standard than the one they don't.

It's more that you've fallen for the chum thrown your way by the GOP. They've been clutching their pearls at the use of the word neanderthal as though people have forgotten what they were perfectly willing to accept over the past 4 years.

Personally I would have preferred that he used "stupid" or "asinine" but that's just me. If a certain way of thinking is stupid, one should be able to call it stupid. That's not even close to the same ballpark of some of the last guy's greatest hits.

You can expect to see Biden contrasted with the last, especially whenever someone who hitched their wagon to him tries to manufacture some outrage about something that they had no problem with and even cheered on when their guy was in charge. It's the obvious means of pointing out the bad faith from which someone is posting. That's a normal social consequence of backing a turd - you don't get to complain and be taken seriously about the smell when the turd is replaced by pebble.

Why would Trump describe Texas's opening up as neanderthal? Trump would have supported it. Your "what if" is getting into aunt and uncle territory.

That fake outrage won't generate itself.

What if he used the word monkey?

Let me get this straight. When Trump said something stupid or crass many were out straight away to deflect, say it was out of context, he didn't mean it, he was talking about some not all etc etc.

With Biden, you are asking if he said something he didn't actually say should he be held to account?

And you are claiming that Biden is being held to a lower standard?

What if he used the word monkey?

What if instead of using the word neanderthal, he pulled a funny face and made some ridiculous hand movements to mock them? Would that be bad?

Are we really discussing using the word Neanderthal. It was the perfect description of the policy that went before. The barrel has no bottom anymore from all the scraping.

People of European descent rather than people of African descent

Neanderthals originated in Africa too.... They did migrate to Asia. So there's no special association between europe and neanderthals...

Only Asians and Europeans have neanderthal DNA.

Modern day Africans have less associated genomes in their dna but still present.

Also you're really reaching if you're claiming that this is some elaborate racist jab against white people.... Perpetual offence seems to be what you're engaging in... I'd still argue it's more insulting towards neanderthals to be associated with people that are actively engaging in endangering public health after hundreds of thousands have died. What do you think of the removal of the mandate? You haven't really voiced any opinion, do you think it's an intelligent move?

Why hasnt Biden given a formal solo press conference yet, over 45 days into office ?

Alot of the times he has tried to engage with the press his staff have cut him off.

Who is calling the shots ?

clear to who? this is just a continuation of the sleepy joe stuff from before the election.

it looks like they are grooming Harris, VP's normally get some side project to keep them busy, in Harris's case she seems to be more shadowing Biden.

Im sure lots of people believ Biden isnt doing 2 terms or even running again, so switching after the midterms is a reasonable assumption

You know if Trump used those same words it would be misrepresented as some racial slur.

What Biden intended to do was call Republicans stupid. Perpetuating a stereotype because he knows it pleases his supporters.

    "it looks like"

    "lots of people believe"

No way Harris would have had a chance if she actually ran for POTUS - couldn't even win the democratic nomination. Make her president by the backdoor? Is that the plan?

If trump used the word Neanderthal to describe people not wearing masks people wouldn't see it as being racist. Those who don't like wearing masks might take offence, but chances are they don't know what the word Neanderthal means anyway.

The whole anti mask thing isn't a great look. I suppose some Republican's consider it an infringement on their personal freedom.
