How can anyone be "vaccine hesitant" at this stage? 250 million doses given out and no large scale serious side effects.

I suspect vaccine hesitant = anti-vaxx in the majority of cases

Im guessing a lot of people just might not like getting a needle in their arm and the associated anxiety and potential for some mild side effects or very low risk of allergic reaction!

It's natural, I'll take it but I'm not exactly looking forward to the day I have to go and get it tbh.

That's really quite a leap. A number of people I know are either afraid of what it will do to them or they just want to wait. That's a health authority issue.

I disagree, at this stage it's proven to be safe so there's no "waiting" required.

Provided they're healthy and capable of taking it, anyone that doesn't take the vaccine is extremely selfish.

Yeah, you might want to work on the motivation speech! It's way off target!

I think the health authority have approved the vaccines so making it an issue with the individuals being afraid or waiting as you put it.

It is still a choice people make for themselves, not one forced on them.

Do not know where you got that but people do love an oul sniffy exclamation.
When you are all vaccinated you can dance naked in the streets en masse and have orgies on the village greens for all I care.
The restrictions post vaccine are not up to me. You may be surprised to find restrictions continue. I would be if I was you.
What is called a vaccine is in reality a prophylactic treatment. You can still get and transmit covid post vaccine just as I can without vaccine.

What are you going to do with all the child sized non vaccinated covid spreaders in your future? Not let them in the shops or on planes?

I would have preferred no unpleasant endemia and no consequent need for an unending vista of new vaccines stretching out into the future but there you go.
I will watch with interest. If the mrna jabs are good I will be delighted. The possibility of mrna treatment of malaria and MS is one of the best things to emerge from this whole dystopia - star trek level of incredible possibility. I am very open to being hugely impressed...when sufficient time has elapsed.
Meabwhile you do what you choose for your body and I will do what I choose for mine. Thanks in advance.

I think the data coming from Isreal seems to suggest you dont get it or pass it on to any great effect.

I’ve reported all the zero covid gang numerous times! Not much being done, they’re misleading the public about vaccines

Obviously you are more likely to spread the virus when unvaccinated, but - however if you are an at-risk person the onus is on you to get vaccinated. If most of the at-risk people get vaccinated, then a few people who dont aren't of much consequence really.

Eventually we will get to a point where most people are vaccinated, and wont get bad if any symptoms should they catch it. So if anti-vaxxers of sceptics dont want to vaccinated they have that right. They will be putting themselves at risk more than anyone else.

This would be the logic, wouldn't it. Protect yourself if so inclined or necessary and then get on with it. Be happy! Do not force prophylactic treatments on the few others who want sexy Russian accents.

If antivaxxers won't vaccinate themselves for the good of society in general, why should society in general make any allowances for them?

If the elderly wont cocoon themselves and wait for a vaccine, why should society in general obey restrictions to protect them?

We live in a society with individual freedoms, one of these is the freedom to take a vaccine or not.
Some people will act "for the greater good" but they have the right not to.

Jesus for a minute there I thought I was already vaccinated and having some kind of cognitive explosion side effect - i thought Timmy and Timsey were the same person arguing with themselves. :D

I do not expect anyone to take the vaccine. At all. Au contraire you EXPECT me to take it. Open up when you have sufficient vaccination to feel secure. No problem.

It’s why I agree with vaccine passports, not only for travel. So those that have taken what you perceive as a risk not worth taking, can experience the benefit of that. Don’t see why you should get a free ride

Unless officially exempt for medical reasons

Nah, its only to exclude the selfish who won’t take the vaccine out of personal preference

I’ll be travelling away to my hearts content. Enjoy your staycations

Also, anti-vaxxers put people who can't take the vaccine due to medical reasons lives in danger. The rest of us getting vaccinated is what protects those who can't take the vaccine. IMO, anti-vaxxer are selfish and don't care about the lives of others, and their nonsense has gotten people killed.

Super GP figures.... just 0.35 clinically likely calls per GP on average yesterday. Lowest figure in 2021 by a distance

That's a big drop for a Monday. We may not see the Wednesday bump, or less of a bump.
All trends are going the right way, no doubt about that.

Under 18s can't get them. Are they getting a free ride as well?

How can you say its proven to be safe when nobody is allowed to tell of side effects they may have, or then be dismissed as an anti vaaxer or conspiracy theorist. Look at the swine flu jab, problems weren't recognised with that after only a few weeks. Maybe it is perfectly safe however its far from "proven" to be safe at this stage.

Show me the evidence that it's unsafe please
