Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I will be down in Barbados in the new year, if I bump into Susan I will ask her. :)

Where did Rhodendendron or Just Gorgeous go?

Surely to one of their speedier sires? War Front, No Nay Never, Ten Soverigns or Caravaggio?

Monalee injured according to Henry. Out for a couple months, a big doubt for Cheltenham.

She had been booked for No Nay Never last year but they decided to keep racing her instead.

The pedigree needs a bit of pace injected. No Nay Never still fits the bill, Ten Sovereigns is unproven, War Front and Caravaggio are in the States. If they go to the States then they have the two Triple Crown winners American Pharoah and Justify to use.

American Pharoah or Mendelssohn ( great pedigree ) would probably be suitable physical types to compliment her own build.

Camelot would be a worthwhile punt, he's not all about stamina so ye could be on to a very nice 10-12f 3yo out of that match.

EDIT: forgot about the new recruit Wootton Basset if they used him it would go a long way towards convincing clients that his exorbitant €100,000 stud fee was worth the risk.

If they would think outside the War Front big money stallion box they're spoiled for choice when it comes to outcrosses for Galileo mares.

Mastercraftsman, Footstepsinthesand, Zoffany, Starspangledbanner, Holy Roman Emperor are all proven G1 sites.

Legend of a horse. 2 peaches from Ruby to win his 2 Cheltenham wins

  • Registered Users Posts: 823 ✭✭✭Coneygree

Delighted he retired after a win rather than another daft performance.

When he gave a **** about the game he was some horse.

Balanchine dead at the age of 30. She had a golden summer in 1994, a 20/1 2nd in the 1'000 Guineas followed by wins in the Epsom Oaks and Irish Derby.

You don't see many like her, she was particularly underwhelming in her 2nd career as a broodmare in the USA. It's surprising that they didn't eventually ship her back to Europe to see if she would click better with the best European Turf stallions.

Thistlecrack has been retired. Probably my favourite horse, unbeatable on his day and he many of those days. Had many great days out but also should have had plenty more where it not for injury.
