But I can spot when particular posters are coming in with faux concern about children in cages, or the people of Syria or those on minimum wage when all they are doing is using these people and issues as a stick to beat non-Trump supporters with.

Is the reality not though, that when the pro Biden people were giving out about Trump putting kids in cages, that that was the faux concern for the children.. And it was just being used to demonize Trump?..

No, as was pointed out it detail already, people have had an issue with the practices going on around immigration anyway.

That doesn't mean that Trump shouldn't been allowed to just escalate the bad behaviour and be let away with it because it was a bad practice before him.

Trump's biggest issue was, is and will always be Trump himself. His bullish, selfish narcissistic behaviour always rubbed people up the wrong way. He couldn't, nor can other Presidents, fix everything with the stroke of a pen.

American access to healthcare was an issue before Trump, and before Obama. Obamacare wasn't perfect but gave more people access to healthcare than had had it before.
Trump tore it to shreds before the election, said he was going to have a new bill ready to go on day one and promised multiple times during his 4 years that a new bill was 2 weeks or a few days away. It never appeared. That is why people were so annoyed at the things Trump did. Because how he did it, and why he did it.

America is entitled to not have to pay for everything for everyone else worldwide, but Trump effectively p*ssing on the Paris agreement, and the Iran Nuclear deal, and the WHO was to no ones advantage only the shortsighted ones thinking that that was standing up for America.

Trump was the biggest narcissist ever to occupy the office of the President and everything he did was motivated by his own selfish interests and he didn't care about the military when he called them losers, but still wanted to be seen as pro-military, didn't care about black people throughout the BLM protests but still wanted to be seen as a Pro-Black President, didn't care for LGBT rights after saying he would be their biggest advocate and so on and so on. So being lectured by people who looked at all that and declared themselves fans, that we should now be hyper focused on the integrity of the political strategy of his replacement is a line I am not buying.

The democrats have collectively dropped the ball on the 15$ minimum wage. The strike in Syria could have, in all likelihood be tied to ongoing ISIS insurgents in the area rather than a new incursion and the children at the border is something which cannot be simply magiced away but treating them with more dignity and not automatically designating them as felons is still a step up form Trump. And none of this is a new position from me, I've long said Biden won't cure everything, but at least it won't be the sh*tshow that it was with the last fellow.

People are giving out that are being caged regardless of who's in charge.

The fallacy here is in thinking that people are ok with it when Biden does it.

It's just the best that the antt-Biden/pro-Trump/anti-liberal (whatever they want to call themselves) crew can do to try and make it look Biden is in some way less preferable to Trump.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Has anyone seen an explanation from the Biden side as to the why the $15 failed. I know the parliamentarian dictated that it wouldn't proceed, but who were the genuine driving forces behind it not doing so.

It was a big dropped opportunity in my view.

The Syria thing I don't see as a massive deal. I think the American military has had involvement there for a long time and aren't just going to stop because the administration changed.

As for the children at the border, I've already spoken about that. I think Trump looked to apply very cynical deterrents in treating people inappropriately and at least Biden has stepped back from that.

I was just about to post something similar.

At least they are consistent with their bad grammar, ignoring questions, asking questions that have already been answered on the very same page, lack of sources, false equivalence and confirmation bias.

But yeah, good on those who tried to talk sense to brick walls during the night.

Because Biden doesn't believe in it.

If he did, he'd crack on with it and wouldn't be hiding behind the 'parliamentarian' malarkey.

    Cute hoorism.

Not according to this site yesterday morning.
The White House insisted that President Joe Biden was still “committed” to raising the minimum wage to $15, despite a major stimulus block.

Brian Deese, the White House National Economic Council director, made the statement when appearing on MSNBC on Friday morning.

“We’re going to consult with our congressional allies ... congressional leadership today to talk about a path forward on how we can make progress urgently on what is an urgent issue,” Mr Deese said about the federal minimum wage.

He didn't ban reporting, he kicked out a reporter.
    Big difference.

He did ban reporting on the number of civilians killed by drone strikes though.

I 100% do not approve of any military service intervention, but at least be honest about it.

You're wrong. He can't "crack on with it" yet. Inform yourself on the "malarkey".

Or are you refeering to the banning of reporting of civilian casualties of drone strikes?

This is the same people who thought the pandemic was created to help the Democrats win the election. They'll try to make anything appear related to him if necessary.

Show on the thread how the US are involved in food shortages in Argentina and/or Venezuela.

Since moderetor Necro asked me to show how USA (under Obama presidency) was involved in food shortages in Venezuela that provoked a emigration of 4 million people (https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.miamiherald.com/news/nation-world/world/americas/venezuela/article233947387.html)

Foolishly, I read both articles. Obviously, you didn't. The first is an irrelevance and offers no substantiation of whatever point you are trying to make. The second, laughably, emphasises that it was Trump who intensified the sanctions to the point where ordinary people experienced food shortages. This thread is becoming a waste of time.

I was just about to post the exact same comment almost word for word.

It's starting to get annoying where Trumpists post articles for us to read when they've clearly only read the headline at most.

"Whatever point you are trying to make", it just show how Venezuela lost population last years, most of them didn't went to USA but to several other countries that had to deal with a problem not created by them. It is really hard for those "bidenists/warists" to see it? The exodus is Syria was also dealt by many other countries, including Brazil that had to take more refugees that the country that created all that mess. About the embargo (second article) Trump was not the president in USA in 2015.

Yes sure they created the "conspiracy theory" about Hussein's mass murder weapons.

Your first article is a discussion about a poll taken in Venezuela concerning emigrants. It doesn't mention Obama. It doesn't mention his administration. This is because it is dated August 2019. 2.5 years after Obama left office and Trump took over.

Your second article categorically states that Trump hugely increased Obama's original sanctions. It discusses current food shortages at that time. That time was October 2019 when the article was written. 2.75 years after Obama left office and Trump took over.

    Pathetic.

It is just an article that states the losing population of Venezuela, due to emigration started in 2015. Can't you read it? There are several others, just google, I am not lying, bordering (and non bordering countries like Peru) countries had to deal with hundred of thousands of them. There is nothing to disagree with it. Fact.

States that the shorttages were caused by USA (embargos started in 2015, google it if you not believe).

So, maximum attention to what Biden administration will do on those regions next months.
