Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    1. Nuevo León - what's with all the power station images? Still best of these for me
    2. Oaxaca - I like parts of this flag but not sure about the prominence of such a forthright motto (though a good sentiment)
    3. Querétaro - cartoonish but better than the last one
    4. Yucatán - unattractive snoozefest

Not sure yet but I'll give notice before kickoff

PS I really like the new voting format. More work for you but fairer result after each voting group I would think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

I sometime like to mix it up like that. Reason in this case is that many of the flags looked similar from the outset so just gave it a bash this way

2PM for the start of the knockout round.

Fell out of this last night before the finish, and won't be able to take part this afternoon (until much later than 2pm anyway) I'm afraid.

Good luck to Chihuahua! I'm rootin' for ya!!! :D

Welcome to Round 2. We revert to our one on one matches and it's straight knockout. In this round, each bout will last for 20 minutes. In the event of a tie, any reasons submitted will be used as tie-breakers.

Jalisco, much more interesting flag in a sea of white. I don't dislike the competition but this has more to it.

Baja California Sur Tidy flag, quite striking and the shells are a pleasant alternative to shields, castles, et al

Quintana Roo, the other one looks like a fight broke out when they were deciding what flower to put on it and then just went with them all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,398 ✭✭✭✭Collie D

Quintana Roo - It's got a nice colourful Aztec vibe about it whereas the other one is clearly the work of colonist bastardos with the knight's helmet.

Coahuila, a bit brighter and more pleasing on the eye

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,526 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

    Coahuila.

It's got a river, and the seemingly ubiquitous animals hanging from a tree (although I suspect it's meant to be them either side of it!), and just a bit brighter than the other one, which is a bit forbidding.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,511 ✭✭✭Purgative

Coahuila reminds me of a Spanish resort crest something like Cala Millor.
